Not Fresh
We received a fun candy box gift a few months back with this brand of Turkish Taffy IN it. We loved it. So we ordered a box of them and they are an awful sticky mess. Its almost as if they melted somewhere and reformed into pasty mess. You cannot even get the packaging off with out a fight. They are not firm and fresh to break into bits. FREEZING did not help. They are trash. Such a waste and disappointment.

This is a hit or miss product
These boxes were okay I purchase these taffies often and it's really hit-or-miss. This purchase was a little more of a miss the either weren't fresh or the formula was off. Usually the product is a bright white and very smooth when you eat it and easy to break. These boxes the product was more of an off-white and the consistency of the Taffy was off it's harder to break and the consistency is almost crummy , granulated not smooth. But this isn't always the case and I still love the product and I will try purchasing it again.

A taste of childhood!
Frankly it has been decades since I have had the original Bonomo Turkish Taffy, so I can't say I remember the exact flavor from "yesteryear". I can say that this is just about the same as I can remember and that this Taffy is quite tasty and I do enjoy smacking it and eating each broken piece either frozen first or not. I have shared these with four friends and we all really enjoyed not only the taste, but the fun of eating it and the nostalgic memories it brought up. Is this the best candy ever? No. But I completely enjoy it.

You have a 50 percent chance on getting a fair box of taffy.
I purchased 4 boxes in the last year. The first box was not bad, the next two were terrible they had a weird yellow texture to them not chewy like taffy should be. The last box was somewhat better, except the paper used in wrapping was stuck to the taffy making it hard to remove . They need to improve on the way they are packaged.

I remember this taffy as a kid. Vanilla and banana were my favorites.

hard to separate wrapper from candy
Candy tasted fine and cracked ok, but melted over cardboard wrapper insert edges. Very messy to eat.
