An excellent chair in this price range
My wife and I took the plunge on the Osaki Paragon after months of deliberating and researching other chairs in this price range. We knew what features we valued more than others, and had the benefit of having had some time to learn about the strengths and weaknesses of a similar chair that a family member bought a few years ago. During our research, we also visited a big box furniture retailer in our area to try out three tiers of chair from Infinity. To start, I am almost 6'2" and weigh a bit over 150 lb. Thinking about our experiences with our family member’s A710 massage chair, I had a hard time avoiding being bruised by the SL track rollers at the lowest intensity - especially in the upper pelvis/tailbone area. My wife, who is 8" shorter and 30 lb lighter than I am, has no such issues (and often turned it up to full intensity, still wanting more). However, both of us agreed that the calf roller/kneading action was essentially worthless, so we decided to look for a chair that had a promising outlook for a better massage for the legs/feet.The Paragon comes in three boxes; the core of the chair is preassembled and comes in the largest, heaviest box (which weighs 264 lb, of which 220 is the chair). The second box contains the leg/foot unit, weighing about 75 lb. The last box contains the arm and side panels, each weighing 22 lb. Fully assembled, the chair weighs nearly 350 lb. Fortunately it has casters at the back otherwise it would be virtually impossible for one person to move. Despite that, it still requires a bit of "oomph" to position, especially on a carpeted surface. Assembling the chair was easy and took about half an hour... not counting the half hour it took to unpack everything. You will want a helper getting the 220 lb main assembly out of the box it comes in.There are LEDs that alternate between a cool white and blue in the Osaki logo under the arm rests on either side. They’re neither gaudy nor obtrusive so we left them on, but if you prefer they can be turned off in the settings menu. The armrests are “hot dog bun” shaped with a texturing of small rubber nodules on the fabric. To get the most out of the arm/hand air bags, it's important to fully seat your arms to the outer limits of the armrests. As the airbags compress, they can shove your arms out and towards your body if they’re not fully seated. It's also a good idea to experiment to find the best position (forward/backward) for your fingertips. Because the arm and hand airbags operate independently, depending on your arm/hand size, exact positioning can have a profound effect on the impact of the massage here. The SL track easily makes its way to the base of my skull for an effective neck massage. On the lower end, it covers the entirety of the gluteus area but no lower. The chair comes with an extra upper back pad as well as a head/neck pillow, which can be removed (or added) to help control the intensity of the SL track's action. There is heat in the roller as well as the footwell, but it’s not very noticeable, even at the highest setting. There are airbags positioned throughout. These cover the shoulder, flank/lower back, thighs, forearm, hand, calf, heel, foot and toes. There are two calf rollers, two foot rollers, and a kneading action between the calf airbags.A warning for anyone who has large (12+) feet - I have wide 11.5-12 size feet, and there isn't much space left in the footwells. If you need a size 12 or larger shoe, there may not be enough room to (comfortably) fit your feet. It's critically important to properly locate your body in this chair. Initially my wife found the massage awkward and raw until I pointed out that she was sitting too high in the chair. The footwell had barely extended and the calf rollers and airbags were kneading and compressing the bony parts of her lower calf, rather than the muscles of the calf. Once she relaxed a little and more centrally located her body on the chair, the lower body massage was much more effective.Speech recognition seems to work well, though we don't really use it. The preprogrammed phrases are somewhat limited - however they are conveniently affixed to a sticker on the back of the remote for reference. Also - the fact that the remote is wired is a big plus for us, as without the tether, we'd be prone to losing it!There are about a dozen massage programs available which vary from a calming, relaxing massage to vigorous, almost assault-like intensity. My wife prefers manual control over the programs as these afford a greater degree of control over the intensity of the massage; as far as we've seen, you cannot control the intensity of the massage when a program is running. If the SL track is too intense (which it certainly can be, unless you use blankets), the best choice is to use manual full body airbag mode. This also turns on the foot/calf rollers and kneading action, but if desired those too can be turned off without disabling the foot/calf airbags. When in this mode, the airbags automatically switch between the various sections of the body - there is no need to manually alternate between lower/mid/upper body. There are no instructions regarding the Bluetooth speakers/audio functions in the user manual or control remote. However, I was able to pair my phone with the chair by scanning for new devices, pairing with the chair (which was recognized as a wireless headset with a long string of numbers and letters), and then playing some music from my phone's media player app. There is no independent volume control on the chair, but I was able to control volume using the bluetooth audio volume control on my phone. Sound quality was better than I expected - definitely not audiophile quality, but adequate for their intended scope of use.Overall it's taken a few days for us to get used to and find what works best for each of us. Compared to the A710, we only prefer its touchscreen interface, arm rests, and ability to customize the intensity/massage action of the auto programs. Compared to the Infinity chairs in the retail store (which cost 2-3 times what this chair does), none were adequate. With the Paragon, so far there hasn't been anything we've been unable to adjust to our liking. Some have said the massage action is too intense for them. We can say that this is definitely a chair that has higher minimums and maximums than other chairs we've used. However, in our opinion, this works to this chair's advantage because you can always pad or reduce the intensity of the massage with blankets or towels; a massage chair that is too weak to be effective has no redemption.Objectively we think it's a 4 star chair, but considering the shortcomings of other chairs at this price point (and others that cost 2-3 times as much), we give it a subjective 5/5.

Perfect massage chair for me! Great quality and great massage!!!
The chair fits my medium frame great. I'm five foot eleven, two hundred lbs. I have a Runners smaller shoulders. the feet area is perfect for my size eleven. If you are larger framed with wide shoulders it will be to small! Best to test before you by. I tried nine different chairs from four different manufacturers. The chair is easy to operate, it will leave you relaxed and refreshed! I bought it mainly for my lower body. The foot and calf massage are the best I could find! It does half way down your hamstring. The heated massagers rollers for the neck, back, gluttes, and upper hamstrings is wonderful. Assembly was easy. Overall I'm extremely happy. It was a hard design to buy but now that I use daily it was worth every penny and then some.

VERY BAD EXPERIENCE. THE MASSAGE WAS TORTURE, I HAVE BAD BRUISES ALL OVER MY ARMS.
I ORDERED ON 5/18/23. CHAIR DELIVERY DATE 6/8 TO 6/15. CHAIR CAME WITHOUT NOTICE ON 5/27/23. WATCHED SET UP VIDEOS ON YOU TUBE AND READ INSTRUCTION BOOKLET. OUR CHAIR CAME PARTIALLY ASSEMBLED. WHEN TRYING CHAIR, IT WAS SO TIGHT IN THE AIR BAGS, IT HURT AND BRUISED ME. WE TRIED TO PROGRAM TO BE ON THE LIGHTEST MASSAGE AND WIDEST AIRBAG. WE COULD NOT. MAKES ME THINK-PARTIALLY ASSEMBLED, EITHER REMOTE IS BROKEN OR THE COMPUTER IS-CHAIR DELIVERED VERY EARLY-PLUS I KEPT GETTING NOTICES THAT "MY" CHAIR WOUR CHAIR IS ARRIVING ON DAYE THEN IT IS LATE-FINALLY IF NOT REC. REQ. REFUND. FINE BUT I CANNOT. I AM THINKING THAT THE CHAIR I REC. MIGHT HAVE BEEN REFURBISHED AND DELIVERED TO ME. I WANT A NEW-WORKING CHAIR OR A COMPLETE REFUND INCLUDING 5 YR WARRANTY. CHAIR IS VERY DANGEROUS, HEAT DOES NOT WORK, SOUND HAS STATIC, REMOTE DOES NOT CHANGE ANY SETTINGS. IT IS SET ON ROUGH MASSAGE AND THE AIRBAGS ARE VERY TIGHT. NOONE CAN USE IT. I HAVE PHOTOS OF MY BRUISES.I DO HOPE THAT CUSTOMER SERVICE AT OSAKI/TITAN TAKES CARE OF THIS DANGEROUS PRODUCT QUICKLY.

Osaki means quality.
This chair is an investment in your health. I highly recommend it.Once you take the time to learn the remote control, getting to know all the multitude of features I believe you will love this chair. You can choose between Automatic or Manual, each of which has an incredible amount of control choices. From relaxation after a hard day to stretching your body, kneading the knots in your muscles. This Paragon massage chair is worth every penny. This chair has air pockets that fill and apply pressure to your shoulders, sides, arms, legs and feet. Slipping your feet (wear socks) into the foot rollers on low intensity for me works very well. The chair controls include massage and air intensity as well as heat controls throughout the chair.A great pair of features that I enjoy is 4D Massage and most especially the 360° feature that lifts your knees above your heat improving my circulation.I am very pleases with my purchase !Since I'm a senior I purchased the white glove option. Two delivery persons unpacked the cartons, brought the pieces in and assembled my chair. If you're strong enough and have a friend to help you, the assembly is easy enough. Make no mistake the chair is heavy, you will need a second person.

Great chair
We are very happy with this chair. It wasn't super easy to get it up the stairs, but we did it with the optional white glove delivery. They were able to get it through my 29.5" doorway and assembled the unit in the upstairs room we place it in. Assembly isn't too hard. Basically, put the leg unit on and the two sides. Connect some air hoses and wire harnesses and tighten a few bolts. The chair does a very good job with massage, in particular the calves and feet. I try to use it for 20 minutes before I go to bed and I sleep better.

From the easy installation and assembly to the many types of functions you will have the best massage ever! It was so comfortable and the quality was unmatched.
