Plugs work BUT you have to have your phones Wifi logged into your 2.4ghz Wifi signal from your router We have a router with both 2.4ghz and 5ghz I decided to log into the routers setup and Temp turn off our 5ghz signal, however after doing this and setting up the plugs using my phone, I thought maybe I could have saved time by just changing my phone settings to 2.4ghz. I have not been a big fan of Alexa but my wife was given one for her birthday and really enjoyed using it. A few week later my daughter sent me a link for some Wi-Fi enabled plugs which looked ideal to replace our old existing clock based main type switches. I ordered a pack of 3 Gosund 13A Smart Plugs with the plan to use then to control the large number of devices we have attached to our TV. Upon arrival I unpacked and followed the simple instruction to first install the Gosund App on my mobile followed by the configuration of each of the Smart Plugs, this was a simple process and each unit took only a few minutes to setup and have operational followed by using the Alexa mobile app to assign to a room and group. I was impressed by how easy this was and how over the following few weeks we used the devices. As a result I ordered 3 more units to control the many chargers we have around the house using them to switch power to a 4 way extension lead with the chargers attached, this review being written based on this second order. We are now in the process of ordering 3 more units to control the small 500 watt electric fires we have installed in our conservatory and I am hoping to have these controlled via Alexa and a temperature sensor.The only thing I would say to someone buying a number of these would be to write a label with the name given and stick it on to each of the units so that you can work out which is which at a later date or if you mix them up.

My husband and I are in our mid 70’s but bought these plugs because we have an Alexa Echo 5 which was bought for us by our son.They were so easy to install and operate, we bought some more later because we were so thrilled with them. We have various lights ‘plugged in’ and it is great just to tell Alexa to switch on whichever light. We can switch all lights off downstairs as we’re going up the stairs and switch on the lights up the stairs as we’re walking up the stairs - without touching a switch. Fantastic!

I am really happy with my purchase. I was a bit nervous because most reviews here are about the plug's compatibility with Alexa but works just as well with my Google Home. Handy that you can control the plugs through the Gosund App, so when you are not even home, as well as through Gooogle Home voice commands. It can control all plugs at once as well as individually. I still have trouble sleeping after a recent break-in and with having my lights plugged in through the Gosund plug I can have my Nest turn on all lights at once when I have a night scare, which has been really helpful.

The product works through the app ok BUT YOU CAN ONLY CONNECT TO WIFI 2.4GHZ. This means if you have a dual WiFi network, 2.4 and 5ghz, you have to change the names so you can connect to the 2.4. Once you change the name you then have to connect every other item on the 2.4 network. As we have multiple lightbulbs this turns into a right faf about and decided it wasn’t worth the messing around so returned the item. For a “smart” device with easy installation it could be anything but

Set up first time. Easy process using the app and then add separately to Alexa linking your gosund account to Alexa via the skill. Instructions are provided in the box and in the app.Plug works as expected via the app or Alexa, can also set a schedule/routine to turn on and off. Plugs are relatively small and don’t block the use of other adjoining sockets.

I have purchased a few smart plugs previously, but was looking for one to control some christmas lights via alexa using voice control and within a timer routine.The triple pack is very good value and I have a couple spare when I need more smart plugs.They were very easy to set up and link to alexa. They are also very compact in comparison to some that I have previously purchased.The app to control the plug is very user friendly and makes using the plug with a smart phone very simple even if you dont have alexa.

I am so impressed with these. Once you have the Gosund app on your phone, they take a matter of seconds to set up. It's also easy to link to an Amazon Alexa account.It's especially useful with Christmas lights. I now have our outdoor lights set to come on automatically at sunset, and I can switch on and off the Christmas Tree lights without having to crawl on the floor!It's also really useful for the powerstrip which serves my TV, XBox, Sky Box, Sound System and DVD Player. It means I am no longer leaving them on standby all night!
