I never had this record and now it's on CD and to top that it's improved!!

This is an updated version of Cat Stevens Tea for the Tillerman.It includes some of my favorite Cat Stevens songs that are classics.Overall,this is a great Cd/album if you love vinyl.

This music is as important and beautiful now as it was when the album was first released.

Really wonderful package for a recording that is by one of the finest British popular folk singer-songwriters of the late Sixties and early Seventies. The clarity of the CD is so fine that the expressiveness in Cat Stevens' vocal deliveries is astounding.

When the September release of Playing for Change was built on Cat Stevens' "Peace Train" it caught me by surprise. I had incorrectly held the belief that he was no longer producing pop music, setting aside his guitars. I was thrilled to learn that Cat is again stirring the souls of all who listen for more than a decade--and so I purchased everyone of his albums I could get my hands on.These are the songs I am familiar with, his reverence for the experience of life, a celebration of the difficult and incredibly moments i love, relationships, and a connection with something greater. Cat's voice is like no other, both soft and powerful, smooth and textured, and so tightly coupled with the playing of the guitar that it seems both are coming from a single instrument.

America's first taste of Cat Stevens. It was an overnight sensation...some 3 or 4 albums late. But this gets righteous treatment. If the boxed set is too much, this should be just right. You get some alternate takes, live tracks, and a couple of songs that were left off the album. I bought the extended Tea for the Tillerman album a few years back and married those tracks to these to create a unique 2nd disc of these songs. I'm anxiously waiting for the next record, Teaser and the Firecat to come out as a double disc. Same background, same plan!

This 2 CD package is top tier! The remaster is clear as a bell. The price initially caught me off guard! $30 something for a 50 year old album? But the packaging is exceptional as is the audio output! This is in my top 10 for 2021...Jump on this bandwagon...worth the ride!

Ce commentaire n'est pas pour la musique, les morceaux sont très bons. L'objet en revanche est abîmé, déchirure et trou dans la jaquette (vu l'épaisseur, faut le vouloir). Et la Poste n'y est pour rien.
