Well made leash for a big dog. Slides to tighten and loosen very well, Snaps well (quick pull and a verbal no), no issues of it choking in any way. I do not move the leather sizer for the loop - set it and forget it. The hand and hardware loops are sewn through for sturdiness. Its working very well for loose leash training - he pulls, he feels it tighten. Holding up well to a large Anatolian mix that likes to hold something when running, haven't seen any fraying. I am using this (with a professional trainer) to reinforce good walking behavior - after being pulled off my feet in the past. This is so much better than a leash that attaches to a collar, or a harness (think sled dog - perfect for pulling things, not for controlled walking with a big dog).

I bought the slip collar for my dog upon recommendation from our professional dog trainer. This leash allows us the ability to keep the collar area up at the top of the neck for greater control with more gentle action from the owner. We really enjoy the fact that the material is soft, yet sturdy, and we don't worry about accidentally harming our animal the same way that we may if we were using a traditional choke collar. Our dog seems to enjoy this leash the most and is easy on and easy off. I would recommend the slip lead to anyone looking for a simple and effective lead for their pet.

When taking in a foster dog temporarily for a local rescue, they suggested that I but this, and have him on a double lead (this and regular one) for the first few days, until he got to know me. This foster dog, who’d never been for a walk in hus life, walked better on this lead than my dog on a regular leash.

I bought this for my Olde English Bulldogge. He's friendly, but can be TOO friendly as most bullies can be. He can pull hard when he is excited. I usually use a prong collar, but people who don't understand it, can be a little judgey about it. My guy has gone through working dog training and knows his commands, but is still impulsive at times with other dogs, or say a squirrel running by. I bought this to see if it gave him enough feedback to snap him out of his impulse to pull. He's very responsive to the prong collar. The slip lead, not so much. This is a well made lead. Very sturdy and great materials. I use it for short potty breaks and short walks. Looks awesome as well! Unfortunately, it doesn't replace the prong collar for my guy. The blue color is awesome, btw. It's between a royal blue and turquoise.

I was given a recommendation to try a slip lead leash and decided to give it a shot.My dog pulls very hard when we first leave the house, but she immediately understood how the slip lead will tighten if she does. Took her less than a minute on our first walk to get used to the concept and our walk was so much better overall!.Wish I had gotten the recommendation when I got my pup a few years back, so here I am, writing a short review. HIGHLY RECOMMEND GETTING THIS LEASH!Please note that there are 1/2 inch and 3/8 inch variants. I did not know and ordered the 1/2 inch, but will get a 3/8 next as my dog is 30ish lbs so either works, but 3/8 should be lighter.

Although i have the red one of this its a excellent lead nice to handle and very good for all dogs this thickness is ideal for middle to large dogs i have six rescues German Shepard , Collies and a German Pointer and it is fine for them after only a few times The Shepard of Eleven years old and no basic training now walks nicely (never too old to train) and the same for one of the collies I can now walk Six dogs out together and still have my arms left in their sockets when i get home
