Great for bed dwellers, but not great for sleeping upright
I bought this because my surgeon told me I needed it for sleeping during the first 2 weeks post-op to reduce the risk for bleeding. I am generally a rule-follower, so sleeping at a 45 degree angle would be presumably easier with this pillow. This bed wedge is basically as described and as pictured. It comes in a huge box, not shrunken down like a lot of memory foam items. The neck pillow (included) is basically garbage, so don't plan on using it. I used my airplane pillow as an alternative, for the comfort of my neck and upper back (note: my airplane pillow has cushion on the sides and is flat on the back of the neck). Here's my issue: it is nearly impossible to sleep sitting up, even with this bed wedge investment. If it wasn't for the pain and sleeping meds, I would have become a very tired and cranky person. This problem alone would earn the pillow a 3 star review. I must add a star though, because it is a GREAT pillow for working in bed on my laptop, watching tv or reading. It provides much more back support than a pile of traditional pillows and my neck doesn't strain as much as it used to.I like that there are 2 angles too. If I could give another 1/2 star for that, I would! Overall, 4.5 stars.

Mixed feelings.
A problem a lot of reviewers talk about is that this thing is hard. That's not necessarily a bad thing, the core has to be hard in order to keep you upright without full on sinking into the thing. The problem is that the comfort layer on this wedge is pathetically thin (see picture 1) so after a few hours it feels like you're leaning against a rock and becomes uncomfortable. You can actually solve this problem by adding a thin slice of poly foam into the protective case (you can find some here http://amzn.to/2a5X9hS). This will make it much more comfortable if you're willing to do a little foam cutting. (The case will keep the foam pretty restricted, but using an adhesive http://amzn.to/29TKSSx will further help to make sure it doesn't move around.) You can even keep the excess foam for something else that needs padding.Anyway, technically this wedge also has two angles, but i've never found myself using anything but the shallower one because the other one sits you so far up its uncomfortable (see picture 3). The shallower angle i've found to be very comfortable though and I use it while watching TV / playing video games on the bed all the time (picture 2). The pillow I use on and off, it could stand for some more comfortable foam as well.So overall its good, but in my opinion it could be better if they had just added a bit more comfort foam.Note: You'll have trouble fitting it back in the original box if you want to return it because it comes pretty compressed. However, If you end up not liking it you can always modify it. It is better than most of the other wedges out there (its just that most of the other wedges are bad)Edit: I've noticed the price of this wedge has gone up considerably since when I bought it. I bought it open box for 70$, which i think is a decent price for it. However, I would not pay over 100$ for this. Its just foam guys.

Excellent Support with Two Positions and very well made. Ergonomics have been thought out.
I love to "sit" in bed and read, use my tablet, watch movies etc. However, over the years I've tried every shape and size pillow and back rest I could find that I hoped would fit my small frame (5 ft) and provide support for my lower back since I don't want to have to sit upright. The quest went on for many years. And then, I found the Jobri! I couldn't believe it and kept avoiding throwing out the box thinking it wouldn't "really" work and I'd want to return it. But it's now3 been about 2 months and I continue to be more comfortable, with my lower back adequately supported, than I've ever been before. The bed wedge can be placed in two positions: one is more upright, closer to sitting, and the other is more like slouching, but with lower back support and enough angle to keep you reasonably upright. The neck pillow is also adjustable and can be used in either position and put pretty much anywhere. The wedge is hard enough but not so hard that you feel constrained.I use this for reading, slouching and waching a movie. I also use it with a computer bed stand and it allows me to use my portable, or my portable touch screen, by adjusting the stand.A Real Winner for me and my particular needs. The cover unzips and can be laundered. The only wish I have is that Jobri sells other covers, perhaps in darker colors (so that they show normal use and wear less easily). On the other hand, the cover is made of a very soft and comfortable material. Some reviewers have complained this is too narrow. I don't find it so. I appreciate that it is narrow enough for my arms to be free at any angle and so that it doesn't take up the WHOLE bed.

As advertised
It is exactly like the picture. It is ok in comfort. I like sitting a bit straighter that this pillow allows you to do but we didn't buy it for me. It was fine for my husband after coming home from the hospital. He used it all the time without complaint. I think it should come with a washable pillow case but it does not. Eventually the lack of a pillow case will be an issue. The pictures shows the woman using the pillow and and pillow under her feet - again I like sitting with my back straight up and down and this pillow rests you at an angle. I found putting a pillow under my feet out of the question - it felt horrible.....and my husband did this all the time when he returned from the hospital. Personal preference plays a part in how well this pillow will work for you. Now that my husband is healing he hardly uses the pillow and I use it all the time. I might cut it so that it fits my back preference better......hummmmm.......

Foam very hard.
I found this item very uncomfortable to use. I would not recommend anyone purchasing it unless they have a specific medical reason for doing so.

Better under the mattress than stand alone!
I have given this bed wedge a 4 star rating mainly because it has taken me a week to discover that it works better for me under the mattress. Great pity the instructions did not give me the hint that under certain conditions it is far better under the mattress than as a stand alone. I have been living in a lazy-boy recliner since my accident as I can no longer use a bed. Rather than going all out for an orthopaedic bed I opted initially to try a wedge, I couldn’t be more pleased as it now works exactly as I hoped it would.
