Luxiv Full Mesh Central Air Conditioner Cover, All Seasons Mesh Air Conditioner Leaf Guard AC Cover for Outdoor Central Ac (Black, 31.5 x 31.5 x 35.5)

Had to buy a new a/c a few weeks ago so I wanted to protect my investment. I live in an area with LOTS of cottonwood seeds making it look like it's snowing in in the late Spring. The a/c unit is sitting under some very large bushes so keeping the leaves out is essential. The cottonwood seeds in the picture that have been caught in the mesh are wet from rain. This cover is great. Keeps the leaves and twigs and cottonwood seeds out. I'll rinse it with a hose a few times during the summer. This is a small sized 3-ton a/c. Virtually all of the mesh covers at Amazon were too large for this unit, but this particular cover is smaller and is very do-able. I am really happy with it.

I just got the cover in and installed it. Good fit for mine, and it does include a cutout area (which is reinforced) for the side pipes and wires. You just have to remove the drawstring clip and cord, run it under your side pipes, then reinstall. Not ideal, but it makes the drawstring stay tight along the bottom with minimal effort on your part. As you can see in the pictures, I cut out a circle in the screen around the top for my fan. I felt like it was hindering the output of hot air, which you don't want. My major issue was dryer lint going into the coils, and this screen should prevent that. I cut out the top circle, then placed some heavy duty magnets around the top to keep it in place. I used the magnets to keep leaves and debris from getting in-between the screen and the unit. I also added some clips (and 2 magnets) to the base around the side cutout to keep lint out. The screen is thick enough that it won't tear around the top where I cut it.. May not look the best, but I feel like it should work for my intended purpose. The screen mesh is fine enough that it seems like it will keep the lint out. But we shall see..........Overall its a heavy duty screen and looks like it won't tear over time. I will adjust the magnets and clips soon to look a little better. If there are any issues with this screen cover as time goes by, I will edit this review and detail them.Update: 2 months in and this cover is working quite well! It's catching lawn mowing debris and more importantly for me, dryer lint. It's quality material that is holding up so far. I go out once a month with a wet rag, after I change my A/C filters, and wipe it down. I figure that will help the air flow.Tip: Turn your Air Conditioner OFF during the clothes drying cycle (if possible) to keep even more dryer lint out of the unit.All in all I am happy with my purchase. The magnets have helped also.
