After two years, still hold original inflation. It is used to point out countries. Some rough rides, but generally just rolled around the house. We forbid ball throwing indoors.Follow up report: We purchased this in June 2016 for our first grandchild. The air was retained superbly. December 2019, we now have six grand children. It is finally leaking very slowly, not flat but just soft. This is an amazing product able to endure the activity of my youngsters.

This was exactly what I ordered and what I wanted. But I ordered the political and the topographical globes at the same time. I blew them both up within minutes of each other. 2 days later, after only gentle use pointing out countries and cities, this one has deflated at least 33%. I believe this is just a manufacturing defect, it happens. But I would appreciate a replacement.

This has lasted longer than I expected! It gets abused as the kiddos use it for volleyball as well as studying. It has proven accurate for the areas that we have had to look up. What I really like is the ability to get an overall feel for the amount of ocean since the water portions are clear.

I'm surprised at the number of folks who gripe about this blow-up globe. Mine arrived in a couple of days, I used a bicycle pump to inflate it, and spent some quality time with kids talking about places on the globe. And then we played catch with it. Completely satisfied.

My daughter sat on another inflatable globe we had, then it popped. Much crying and pitifulness ensued. To bribe her to carry on with her homework that night, I told her I'd have another at the house in two days.We settled on this one, and it is bigger than the last with good geographical detail (good enough for elementary school).

My three year old and five year old sons love to play with the ball and learn geography in a fun way too. Whenever we read a story about a different country, a continent or anything that pertains to a place on our planet, I turn to this ball to point out the place from the story! My little boys' eyes just love to do that and can study this play globe for hours at times too. It is plenty accurate for little ones and it is fun too because... well it is a beach ball essentially!

Ours popped on the 2nd day we had it. I don't think we were playing with it too hard. I started to initiate a return and Amazon said this item is not eligible for returns. I've never had that with Amazon before and I looked back on this page and don't see where it notifies potential buyers.It seemed like a sturdy enough product and we enjoyed checking out the countries before it popped.

I love the printing on the globe itself - very detailed. I also like that the plastic is clear. I thought it was the perfect purchase. My daughter was so excited to have this new globe to learn about the world. But the plastic material of the globe is very thin, and unfortunately, even with being very careful with the globe, within 24 hours, a small seem had opened on the side. It was very disappointing. I cannot recommend this product.
