It’s just ok
What I like about this item was its price and how it is packaged. So far it gives out a good and easy to read result. The only thing I disliked from this item is how you are suppose to do the test. You have to dip the tip of the test strip 30 times (equivalent to 30 seconds) into the aquarium water to get the test done. Unlike other test strip you just have to dip it in the water just once and wait for the result to appear in the said time.

Reliable readings
So far the readings match those when tested at the pet store.

A bit strange but works
I’ve never had a test strip that requires you to dip 30 times…It seems pretty accurate though and came with a decent amount of strips

Trash. Absolute garbage. See below for more details.
Bought these to help cycle my new 7gal tank. Should have accepted the commonly held belief that strips are garbage but learned the hard way. Lost two fish and 4 shrimp so far.Entire time cycling they showed minimal ammonia levels. Never getting above 1ppm. Just didn’t seem right but have been using API Quick Start so thought maybe it was just working well.Followed the directions exactly as stated on the package. The first thing I noticed that should have raised a red flag was when I dunked the strip, it appeared there was an air bubble covering the pad. You could see it was shiny when submerged. Started waving them around to guarantee contact with the water. Still showing the roughly .5-1.0 ppm reading. Also tried a few strips where I brushed my finger across the pad to guarantee the air bubble wasn’t prohibiting contact. No drastic change, still showing between .5-1.0 ppm. Hmm, figured the beneficial bacteria was just doing it’s job. Finally decided to purchase another API liquid test kit and as the liquid turned darker and darker green my anger grew over the 5 minutes of testing. As shown in the picture the actual ppm is between 4.0-8.0; highly toxic. The strip I tested with immediately after still shows color between .5-1.0.Immediate water change and then threw these right in the trash. I wanted to like this product and I know many say strips are garbage while others feel they are good. Unfortunately for me and several tank mates, I learned the hard way not to trust strip testers. Package doesn’t even have serial number or date to track quality control. Buyer beware when it comes to this brand. Stick with liquid tests for your aquarium.

Easy to use
These test strips are soooo much easier than what I used to do with measuring water in a test tube and counting drops of test solutions.
