Great time saver
This is a very handy device. Years ago I had a different brand that had plastic insides. It was always plugging up, requiring me to disassemble the strainer and clean it out before I could resume. The Squeezo did not do that. The crank turns relatively easily and it made quick work of a big box of tomatoes. No more peeling and coring tomatoes!Things to be aware of (These aren't problems, just things a person should know before they purchase the Squeezo.):It does take some effort to fully clean the screens and I found that by running the peels and seeds back through a second time I got more pulp. Also, be careful where you mount it. It can mark a table or counter top. I put one of those plastic circles used to open jars with between the clamp and the table. That worked fine and protected my wooden kitchen table. Also note that the screens are stainless, the rest of the Squeezo is made of other various kinds of metal. I would not recommend putting it in the dishwasher since some parts look like they might be aluminum.

Not perfect but pretty quick.
Used to use an OLD ricer to make apple sauce and spaghetti sauce; very slow and tedious. This strainer does the job so quickly that even running things through 3x was no hardship. Do have a couple of issues that prevent the awarding of 5 stars: 1. it leaks at the handle; 2. the screen is hard to clean. If I could remove the white gasket-like thing at the narrow end of the screen it would help a lot. They did include an extra gasket for that and the other end but I can't figure out how to remove the white one.

Vey disappointed
I was extremely disappointed! The juice of the tomatoes was running out all over the counter, floor and squirting into the air. My husband ( who is a mechanical engineer, graduating from the best engineering school in the country), tried adjusting bolts, changing the rubber seals from the other grates to see if it would make a difference, but to no avail. We spent a few hour trying to make this thing work, but we finally packed it up and put in the cellar. I'll continue to use my food mill - it's so much easier and not so messy. i was thinking about returning it, but I don't have any of the original packing. What do you recommend? Melinda Koziuk

Exactly why I started writing reviews.
I only started writing reviews because I was upset buying inferior products that had great reviews. I wish people would just tell it as it is.From the beginning as I was unpacking this strainer I could tell that it was flimsy. Like really cheap garbage. Parts made from pot metal etc. I assembled the strainer and mounted it to my counter. Well it is not a sturdy mount. Maybe if it had a little rubber attached it would secure it better to my counter top and not scratch it. Then I cranked the handle and there was the sound and feel of metal on metal grinding. No big deal a few adjustments and that was pretty much gone. If this was made better then you would not need to adjust. Everything would fit like a well made machine.OK so I added a can of Tomatoes because I am making meat sauce. I just wanted to test this by attempting to remove the seeds. I don't normally do this but I really do not have use for this until next year. Glad I tested it. Not only did the seeds come out of the waste end but chunks of Tomatoes did too. Then I had a puddle inside that I could not drain. So I got the pulp and seed mix and put it back in and then I had a puree come out into the waste part. I wanted that minus the seeds but not happening. Result was Tomato juice and a lot of wasted puree and pulp along with seeds.Lets talk about the mess. Juice leaks out and try cleaning the strainer that is not fun. Can not put in dish washer because of the crappy metal it is made from. A brush is furnished for cleaning. That is another piece of garbage. Could not get all of the Tomatoes out of the brush to clean it. The way the screen is folded creates areas that trap food. Not sure if you can ever really get it clean. You may always have a bit of something stuck in it?If you want juice? Buy a Juicer. Why would you buy this? Buy a Food Mill if you want to can Tomatoes. This does nothing that a food mill can't do better. A food mill is easier too clean with less parts to break and wear. Less parts too assemble etc..My Squeezo is all packed and ready to go back where it came from. This is probably the worst thing I have ever purchased on Amazon. Save yourself the disappointment. If you have the opportunity to test one and you personally like it then buy it but I would not take a strangers word. My review is legit. I just ordered a larger food mill. I was really hoping that the Squeezo worked. I really need something to can my Tomatoes. I really wanted this to work better than a food mill. I really do not love food mills. Food Mills are work but compared to this I will take the food mill. Good Luck.

much quicker than a food mill
I purchased the squeezo after using a 2 qt. food mill to sauce a bushel of apples. I whipped through two bushels in a quarter of the time, the mess was far less and the sauce was better. It's easy to assemble, use and clean.

Nice tool if you have a garden
I have not used it yet got it this winter for coming canning season ,but I did take out of box and I am impressed ,it looks well made and made in America ,all metal, you know this thing has been around for what 70- 80 years it must work or they would have closed the door on it by now

Four Stars
Love that there are no plastic parts. Can't wait for canning season to try it out.
