Sorry; no longer works with the Channel Master DVR+
Despite its tiny size this WiFi adapter works very well. The one I bought (from GateShop) worked not only with PCs but also with Channel Master's DVR+, for much less than Channel Master's own WiFi adapter!Unfortunately, there's been a recent change. The one currently depicted looks identical to mine, but NO LONGER WORKS with the DVR+!One hint: if it has trouble receiving your WiFi signal, plug it into a USB extension cable instead of plugging it directly into your PC (or DVR+). That way you can move it around for better reception.

What does it differ from a 150 Mbps wireless card?
It works out of the box with minimum setup. My laptop easily finds the wireless card and registering it to my home router is a breeze. It doubles my wifi speed from 72 mbps to 144 mbps. However I was expecting something close to its advertised speed 300 Mbps. Tweaked all settings with the hardware to no avail. I'm a few feet away from a new FIOS quantum firewall router which delivers a connection speed of 1 Gbps to my Samsung Note 4. Had I known the limitation of this wireless adapter, I would have bought one with 150 mbps with cheaper price and less protruding form factor (I carry laptop everyday so the thumb size of the usb card does matter).Update:within less than 2 years the adapter failed. Can no longer be detected by Win 7. It happened suddenly. I'll report back how the vendor responds on the warranty.

Confirmed - does not work with ChannelMaster DVR+
I received mine about a week ago but unfortunately I didn't catch Mathwiz's update to his/her review about it no longer working with the ChannelMaster DVR+. Might work in computers, not so much in DVRs...
Different vendors sell different versions of this product with different chipsets. While I'm sure most work fine for computers, other applications, such as DVRs, require specific chipsets in order for this product to work. Good luck getting the vendors to share with you which version they are selling. I ended up returning mine.

Great- easy install - always works
I got this because of the postive recommendations I could not be happier. I was previously only on one network and now I can choose a second very quickly. Very simple to use. I am happy and the price is right.
