I’ve only used this steamer basket once so far, but it works fine for me. It’s obviously a very good design and of excellent quality—which is why I paid a few bucks extra to begin with. I don’t like buying the cheapest option, only to regret the purchase afterwards. This steamer basket has a lot of nice touches, in a compact design that makes it easy to store.After the purchase, I received a “hand-written” note from Jess at “InstaExtras,” explaining the company is a small business, asking for my review of their product. With all the Chinese selling on Amazon (many trying to impersonate Americans—and even submitting obviously fraudulent reviews), I try to support American firms. I checked online, and InstaExtras is based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and has 10 or fewer employees. So even though it might be impractical to manufacture here in the states, at least InstaExtras is cutting out the Chinese middleman, while providing their own proprietary designs and quality specifications. I’m always happy to support American companies who somehow manage to run American businesses during these difficult times.

I love this steaming tool. Just fill a pot with an inch of water, place the basket in the pot, and turn on the stove! I steamed Trader Joe's tamales for Christmas and it worked perfectly! It took 20 minutes for the tamales to get hot and everyone enjoyed this easy meal! Great kitchen gadget that everyone should have!

It's hard to decide what I liked best ... the quality material... easy to clean ... easy to use and handle while hot . This steamer does not scratch your andonized kettles because of the special legs on the bottom of the steamer.

This works for steaming vegetables great! But, I tried steaming some chinese dumplings and they got stuck to the material. which is fine. It’s compact and easy to use. Remove it from heat with a mitt as I made the mistake of not doing that and burning my hand slightly. Still a great product nonetheless!

How did I make it so long without a steamer???? Frustration over trying to steam broccoli for Alfredo night is what led to this purchase. The previous reviews are correct...THIS is the one.The whole thing is uber sturdy. The handle is perfect in length and ease of removal. The little silicone covered feet are completely ideal. Throw this in the dishwasher in a small leftover space. Love this little guy!

I have used this a few times and I like that you can collapse it and use it in a different size pot it’s easy to clean you can open it up stretch it out and clean it with Sophie sponge wrench it off really good and let it dry I do not recommend putting it in the dishwasher even though you might be allowed to I think it’s better to clean it by hand so you don’t ruin the form

Nice steamer basket, there were many to pick from at a lesser price and I went for $1-2 more because it seemed like it was a better quality and I was right!! Very good quality basket, it will last! :-)

This is great for steaming hard boiled eggs. It fits nicely in the bottom of most pots and the silicon on the bottom of the legs keeps it from scratching the pot. Makes steaming eggs a breeze, and I swear by steaming them - I can put more than a dozen eggs in this. Once the water is boiling, I set this in my pot, cover it, let them steam for 20 minutes, then chill the eggs off - peels come off easily then.

This product looks good but there is a safety issue. I filled it with veg and put it in a pan. It steamed away until bottom burnt. The 3 soft plastic shoe pads touching the pan all melted and some smoke came out. I suggest the leg shoe pads should be made of ceramic not plastic. Otherwise ok.

It’s small and goes in the dishwasher; that’s what I wanted. I was surprised to find a hand written thank you letter in the box and I found it very sweet. I recommend this product!

The steamer was exactly what I needed! After melting our last one into our pot (baby brain) it's really nice this one is mostly metal. It also folds down smaller than our previous steamer and I feel has more surface area as well.Seller sent a super cute hand written note with the product which arrived promptly.

This steamer basket is a fantastic accessory for my InstantPot. I now steam vegetables more frequently and as a result am eating healthier. I love the little feet on the bottom - you can use the steamer basket to serve the vegetables too. Excellent quality and there was a handwritten thank you note in the box which was a nice touch.

Fits well in small pots or frying pans and is very easy to clean and use
