Bought this device 3 months before being able to discreetly install. When installed, completely impressed. I install security cameras for a living. This device is nearly equal to the quality of the spy cameras that I install. Device is thin, lightweight, easy to hide and accuracy is better than I had imagined. The map and satellite view is so accurate it even showed me the exact house where the vehicle with the device was parked. My installs are impeccable, so to hide the satellite antenna I actually placed it behind the front license plate. I could not believe the accuracy even behind a metal plate. The software to monitor is installed on my phone, tablet, and PC. I'm able to monitor very easily with no issue. There are so many features in the software that I cannot explain because there is no description of what they can actually do. If I had to make a complaint, even though I'm giving 5 Stars, it would be that every menu should be explained in detail for the consumer. As I'm reading here, this device may not be available anymore from manufacturer. Too bad.

Works okay... but if I don't use my bike for a couple of days I have to detach the power cord so it doesn't burn out my battery. I think this is why i gave it a 3 star. This product should be made so that it doesn't drain the battery from non us. Otherwise the product works okay. It has some glitches when it is raining or there is bad weather. Sometimes disarming doesn't happen. It freezes on me, but it is functional and I have some peace of mind that my vehicle is not naked out there. Again, could be a more awesome product if they improve or upgrade some of the cons on this device.

Came back and dropped this a star. I've got two units that stopped sending GPS information. They still sent battery level, just the GPS stopped communicating. The manufacturer suggested that the device either got wet (no, it didn't) or too hot. Its function indicates installation in a car and that means its going to get hot in there. I can't imagine what I'm going to be dealing with this summer. It gets hot here in Virginia. Real hot in a locked up car. Worse, the only solution according to customer service is to manually reset the thing, which requires removal of dash panels. So, my recommendation below to install it professionally was a bad one. You'll be paying to have it removed, reset, and reinstalled every time your car's interior gets 'hot' and the thing needs a reset. Better to learn to do it yourself, or have it installed once but located where you can reach it without taking stuff apart. If I have to disassemble and reassemble cars all summer I'll be back to take away more stars._____________I've been looking for a reasonably priced tracking solution for our fleet of 19 vehicles for over a year. As far as hardware is concerned, they are all in the same ballpark. What drew us to Vectu Pro was the $50/yr per device ongoing fee vs $360+ for the fancier solutions. The devices track location well. I would suggest getting the version with the antenna and having a pro install them for you. The one I put in myself sometimes doesn't 'see' the satellites and so it gives me a general location instead of an exact one. One of the more frequent complaints was that sometimes the devices don't work out of the box, but out of the 19 we have they all are working (once we ran the car for a bit to charge the device).The only reason I gave the device a four-star review is I think there could be more functionality. Knowing your car's whereabouts and getting velocity alerts is nice, but there could be more. For example, as far as I can see the interface doesn't keep a historical record of velocity, although that would be a relatively easy thing to put in, even if only and estimate based on distance and time. Adding an accelerometer to the device to track hard starts, stops, and turns would make sense for the 'pro' version, especially for fleet managers.Regardless, for the money the Vectu Pro is over the top when it comes to fleet trackers.

I purchased this device for my Toy Hauler RV trailer in July, I did not get a chance to install it until Dec, after installing, it would never connect and show gps position, troubleshooting guide is very basic, I updated firmware and tried to reset, after multiple antenna locations still no connection, I sent an email for customer support which was a joke, seems like I got a generic response not addressing my situation and stating that low temps can damage it, also asking me if it was professionally installed, give me a break it is 2 wires and 2 antenna cables, they also informed me that this device has a temperature range of -4F. to 120deg F. which I never saw in the specifications, at the time of my installation it was -5 outside but my trailer is heated and was warm during the installation and it never connected, it never saw low temps until I gave up after trying to troubleshoot and update firmware for several hours. I think the operating temperature range is ridiculous as a vehicle can get much hotter than 120F in the sun. I know its too late to try to return this to Amazon, at least I can share my experience with this device and recommend to anyone else who might be interested in this to look for something else.

This unit exceeded my expectations. It works great and is very accurate.You must download the latest software update and also make sure to change the date/time in the user settings. I was lucky enough to have 12v outlets all over my car to choose from. Very easy and simple to use if you can read English.

Excellent product. Works seamlessly

I installed this GPS on my new motorcycle. Just plugged to the battery and hid it behind a side panel. Within minutes, I was able to find my bike on the website & app. Very accurate even beneath the plastic panelling. I really like the web features. The history track and 'heatmap' are excellent.
