Too much work for very little coffee
It doesn't produce much coffee at all, not worth the effort

You Get What you Pay For
UPDATE 2020-12-21: Not only is this product of poor design and construction, but also the seller has attempted to offer a bribe via email on three separate occasions (in increasing amounts) to remove this review. Each email has originated from a different Gmail.com email address (not from a Shardor address), with some of them claiming to be "Amazon costumer [sic] support". Rather than offer a return or refund (as one would expect from a legitimate seller), the senders have offered bribes in increasing amounts to remove this honest and genuine review. I have dropped my review to 1 star as a result of both the poor product and even poorer customer experience. I have also added some photos for context demonstrating the poor quality of this product (particularly the inconsistent grind and mess it makes). I gave the hopper and grinder a good cleaning prior to performing the grind and taking these photos. Note that this is the result of the grinder being set to the coarsest setting. Note the fine dust that get's plastered to the front of the hopper and the differing grind sizes of the coffee--------ORIGINAL REVIEW:Picked this grinder up at the suggestion of a friend for similar-priced Shardor that had good reviews. The one he purchased was no longer available on Amazon.com so I figured this similar-priced model would have the same quality as the other model (CG835B). Upon attempting to leave a review on Amazon for this model (ASIN B08HMXL3FY), it appears that Shardor frequently unlists and relists products, which clears out old reviews, which is a bit suspect. Compared to a cheap Krups blade grinder and my hand-turn JavaPresse burr grinder, this Shardor pales in comparison in both grind quality, usability and mess.Pros:- It does in-fact grind coffee- It's relatively smallCons:- Makes an absolute mess - when you remove the hopper, coffee dust and grinds get everywhere- Inconsistent grind - despite having different burr grind settings, this grinder spits out coffee at all different sizes which defeats it's core purpose as a burr grinder- Hard-to-read grind size setting - not that it really matters due to the point above, but the grind size setting indicator is all but illegible on the side of this unit, given it's black plastic and dark grey printing- Loud - our cheap blade grinder is less noisy and grinds faster.Save yourself ~$40 and do more research on better quality grinders. This model is a waste of money and time.

Doesn’t last long
I bought this grinder about a year ago and have loved it, but am giving it 2 stars because it just started to malfunction. It has stopped grinding the set amount needed for the cups it is set for. No matter how many cups it is set for it grinds all of the beans in the hopper. Only getting a year out of a grinder isn’t acceptable to me.Some reviewers have mentioned it’s messiness and I do think this grinder is a little messy but I don’t think any worse than similar grinders. If you buy this grinder just know you may only get a year out of it.

It's loud as a lawnmower, but it does a great job
The first one that i ordered was inoperable after 2 months. I emailed their customer service, and even though it was past the 30 day warranty, they sent me a brand new one.

Nifty, versatile and affordable
I got this grinder as a thanksgiving gift from my mom as I am a frequent coffee drinker. I typically used grounds to make coffee but starting from beans is a whole different experience. I love the ground size feature that allows you to set if you need grounds for expresso or something coarse for French press etc. I grind them just before use and the grounds are in a tiny drawer at the bottom. The whole usage is clean. I haven’t yet tried cleaning the unit with the brush they provided. Overall, it’s a useful and affordable product for a coffee lover!

Was not able to close the cap! Returned
Once the cap was removed, the safety switch blocked and prevented the cap from closing the top fully. It will not work if its not closed completely.I could take a thin blade and insert it into the space press the safety switch while operating, but I cannot see myself doing this every day. Returned

1 Year After Use: Not Bad
Got this as a Christmas present last year and had worked fine up until now, 1/11/2021, which is just after the warranty expires. I have been grinding almost every other day on medium and it wasn't until I started to drastically change the grind size, to very fine and back, that I have had a problem. Overall, 3.5 / 5.
