Mendota PetCheck Cord Leash - Dog Training Lead - Made in The USA - Orange, 1/2 in x 30 ft Pro Trainer 30

I liken this lead to fine ropes made for marine use to moor boats to docks. The braiding is precise and uniform, but not too tightly woven as to make the cord difficult to coil. The strands are finely spun, which give the cord a supple feel and soft to the touch, making it easy to manipulate - the cord has no memory and hangs completely limp when you are using it. Because the cord is soft it does tend to snag a bit on gritted concrete, but this matters not since the lead should be used in the field on grass. Some may not like the thickness of the cord, as its 1/2" diameter is substantial and probably better suited to larger hands. Despite the thickness, the cord is not overly heavy. The leather (?) wrap that dresses one end of the rope is well made, and stitched superbly. The clasp hardware works well and is made of quality metal. Our Pointer responded well to training using the Mendota Lead. Great product, and I would certainly purchase again if needed.

I bought this so that my dog could go to certain parks, swim in the ocean, enjoy campsites, and be on trails that have restrictive rules about dogs on leashes. My dog is accustomed to not wearing a leash and being by my side obediently, this has enough length for him to still have freedom when in regulated areas. I really enjoy the burnt orange color, it's very eye popping and the authorities see it from hundreds of yards away. It's fairly thick and can maintain tension if your pup does decide to tug, mine is 70lbs and the rope has worked flawlessly.

This leash is extremely lightweight, which makes it perfect for training your puppy/dog to walk with you. It's 30' so I just drop the leash and it allows my puppy to have the ability to stray a bit but, when she has gone too far you can pick up the end of the "trailing leash" if she doesn't come when called. I have found that she likes to adventure and explore but, she now realizes that she needs to come back and walk by my side until something else peeks her interest! AFter two weeks of walking (twice a day) I very seldom need to pick up the leash to get her to return, she simply comes when called. Very durable, never knots, great clasp, I highly recommend buying this leash.

This is THICK and bright. Very high quality and very sturdy lead, would be great for really big dogs. I probably should have gotten the smaller diameter one for my 50lb pup but I was afraid it wouldn't be strong enough, however, I have a feeling it would now that I've used this one..this thing is tough!A few things I don't like are that there is no loop at the end for easy grabbing (I solved this by tying a big knot about a foot from the end so I had something to grab if pup took off) and the leather piece toward the swivel clip got all moldy the other day for some reason. I guess it was damp in a duffel bag for a day but the whole brown piece a the end was covered in fuzzy mold. However, I just threw it in the washer with some oxy-clean, bleach and detergent and it's good as new.Great for training or letting pup run around "off leash" in a way with the extra security of a long rope to "grab" if she tried to take off.

This rope is excellent, does the job. My only complaint is I wish I would have went with the 50ft for more distance 30 feet isn't as much as you think it will be. Also the larger rope size is more of a pain to deal with if you have a puppy the clasp is a little large and the rope is kind of heavy for him, but that my fault.

Good quality check cord, but it's too thick for my 6 month old pup. I've read from several training sources to use a thin check cord at this young of an age (because a lot of training requires them to run with it dragging behind them). This is too thick for that. Great quality though, and I hope I can use it in the future. I have a regular 6' lead from this company, apparently made of the same material (kind of like dock rope or polyrope), and it's held up great so far and was great for the money.

Perfect length to give my dog some freedom without being off leash. Perfet for trinning long down-stays.

I really love this leash. My dog does not have a good recall. So it's nice to give him some freedom when we go trail hiking together. I have a 75lb husky/Shepherd mix. The leash is holding up awesome to mud, dirt, water, sharp rocks, and getting wrapped around trees. It's perfect when I need a drink or want to sit down and just tie it up to a tree or table. It's very durable and is holding up very well to the abuse I put it through. I recommend this leash to any dog owner that's training for recall or has a dog that doesn't have a strong recall. It's a great way for your dog to explore and a good leash you can trust.

I have had this rope for about 9 months. It’s been left outside for the winter months and still holding up. It’s a great rope. We let our dog run around with this on as his come back isn’t the greatest but we still want him to be able to run around somewhat freely. It works great for camping too. It’s super strong and durable. I’ve ordered another one that’s longer so I can tie it to our deck and keep one in the car for outings. I highly recommend!

Excelente material y longitud, una buena opción cuando estas entrenando a tu perro. El único detalle es que no tiene agarradera, pero puedes hacerle un nudo y listo
