This is just the thing for making charcoal toothpaste at home.It is good for neutralising breath too so excellent after strong smelling meals.Charcoal can be used to whiten teeth (rather bizarrely).It has just enough abrasion to polish but not erode them providing you dont scrub them too harshly.I like to mix mine with some coconut oil and a little bicarbonate of soda.I add a few drops of peppermint to give it more of a familiar flavour and voila...You can of course use it for various other things and it is a natural deodoriserThis tub comes with a pull off plastic edge like you get on veg oil containers.Pull it off and it only releases half the lid so you must very carefully prize the lid open with your thumbs and hope you arent going to puff it all over the place.That is how it opens every time so if you have problems with opening lids, it might be worth dispensing it into an easier to open tub for future access.Best open it over a plastic bag each time anyway so you can just slide any back in that escapes.The powder is very fine, like black corn flour.If you very carefully dig down into the black powder, you will find a little 1ml scoop hidden inside.According to the instructions on the tub, If you are taking this as a food supplement, you should take 1g at least 30 mins before eating and another shortly after.The spoon is 500mg or half a gram so two level scoops is one gram which saves having to try and weigh it out.If you are on any medication though, you should not have any for 2 hours before medicating and wait two hours after because the charcoal is most likely to absorb drugs during this period.As usual ask the doc first if medicating or if pregnant or Nursing.Made from pure coconut shells and no preservatives

My partner has a sensitive stomach and found that this helped when having a heavy meal.Texture:The granularity of the charcoal is quite fine. My partner found that the best way to consume the recommended dosage of charcoal (it comes with a small plastic spoon) was to place the dosage onto a teaspoon and consume it that way. This avoided the fine powder getting into his nasal passage.After effect:After a short period of time after consumption (consumed within 30 mins post heavy meal), he found his stomach feeling a little better compared to the discomfort that he was feeling after the heavy meal. Although there is limited scientific evidence to back this up.

Activated Charcoal powder is popular these days for whitening your teeth, and as so many people use it then I daresay it does, however I like to have a supply on hand for stomach upsets and those occasions when you've eaten something that's not quite right. It's remarkably effective at absorption and at settling the stomach or dealing with excess flatulence. This is shown by the fact that you shouldn't take it two hours either side of taking prescribed medication.This product from Health Leads is suitable for Vegans and comes with it's own measuring scoop. I must admit, i have used activated charcoal toothpaste, As it is fluoride free with no nasty chemicals and GMO's. This is always reassuring to me, As i like to keep my mind and body healthy.This tub is quite handy, As it serves multiple uses, Such as using it as toothpaste, But also useful if you have pain from a gluten or coeliac reaction, Or need to quickly remove medicines form the stomach.Activated charcoal is also used in hospitals to helps remove any rouge chemicals that people have ingested, So this is an invaluable powder to have on hand for daily use, Or in emergencies. just remember to research the amount you need to use for your specified use.

I've been adding it to bread or pizza and the result is very cool.Who makes toothpaste at home? Not me, if you're like me and plan to use it for cooking, it will work fine.As most of the times, I need between one and three grams of it, it will last quite a while.I would recommend it to anyone!
