Tall Drafting Chair
I used to work as a board draftsman/ designer where we were at our drafting tables 10 plus hours per day 5 to 7 days per week. Even when we made the change to CAD we still used the drafting tables instead of a desk. So I know what I wanted in a drafting stool. You really don't sit in a drafting stool like a chair you kind of lean against it and sitting on the edge of the seat. So they need to start off being taller than most stools or can be taller which this one does. Then the biggest issue with them is the lift cylinder, a lot of the time they are weak but this one is not it's very heavy duty so no more sinking when you are sitting. The chair moves around good but there's better casters that move better which are a single wheel like roller blades use. The big reason I wanted this stool is I am disabled so standing while doing food prep and cooking I now have something tall enough to allow me to cook or cut vegs while resting my back. It has helped a lot even though I live with bad pain and gone through 2 back surgeries with 3 more to go. That's functioning in a normal kitchen setup while trying to put off a redesign of the kitchen to be setup for the disabled.

Doesn't get low enough for my comfort.
This chair looks good, but two things about it are inconvenient. First, the foot ring is too high. I can't use it, but it would make it more comfortable. Second, the seat can go w-a-y up, maybe four feet. I don't know anyone that tall. It doesn't come down low enough, though, so I'm not really seated on the whole seat. I'm using it in the kitchen, because I have to cook for my B&B, but have back trouble, so cannot stand for a long time. It would be perfect, otherwise.

Love this chair
Bought this for my daughter. She had foot surgery a year ago and still has pain when on her feet too long. She has a side business making treats. Bought this for her to sit on while making treats in the kitchen. Works perfect. Is comfortable and sturdy. Great purchase

Don’t waste your money!
This chair was a nightmare! It was easy enough to assemble, however, although it has an adjustable seat it was impossible to push the seat down to a lower level. I decided I was going to return it! The lower portion of the chair would not come apart to repack! No way would it budge! I had to buy a large box in order to return the thing! Beware!

It's Okay
I bought this to use periodically at my standing desk. It's tall enough that I can sit on it and still work at my desk without having to lower it too much (desk height 35"-40"). One problem is it doesn't go low enough to sit at a normal height with, it definitely is a taller chair. The chair is sturdy, I am a bigger girl and I don't feel like it's going to break under me, but the pad on the chair is awful. I only use it once in a while when I'm sick of standing (maybe an hour or two a day if that) and I've only had it a month and the pad on the chair is done. It's so squished. I really don't even use it anymore because it's just not comfortable, either.

comfortable, appears sturdy and well made
Have only been had the chair for a few weeks now, but Item is comfortable, appears sturdy, well made and of good quality. Stars taken off for ease of assembly, as no instructions were included.
