This sunscreen does have a kind of weird scent, but it goes on so well that I am able to deal with it. I usually mix it equal parts with moisturizer and foundation. I have oily to combination skin. It sinks in really well. The smell doesn't last long and once it dissipates you don't even notice you're wearing sunscreen.

Have been trying Korean sunscreens for the extra coverage / UV blockers. Appreciate the milky texture and its easy to carry around and reapply.

This is the best sunscreen. It's lightweight, non greasy, and doesn't pill under makeup. And thank goodness they finally changed the cap to a regular plastic cap. Before it was this shiny painted cap and over time would flake everywhere. The writing on the bottle would also come off which I'm assuming is probably due to the moisturizer on my hands so to prevent that I just put a piece of tape over the writing and voila, no more peeling.

So good I purchased it twice. I’m dark skin and have oily skin and this sunscreen is amazing! No white cast, doesn’t leave me oily, it practically melts into the skin. Also it doesn’t have a fragrance. And it sits well underneath my makeup! Only complaint is the green lid. It gets flaky after a while and the flakes get on your fingers and might get onto your face and they are difficult to get off :(

This sunscreen is hands down the best I have ever tried! It’s lightweight, dries down quick, and looks great under makeup. Definitely a staple in my skincare routine!

The media could not be loaded.  I decided to take a chance on Essence due to reviews when my Force Shield Facial Sunscreen ran out since they're at the same price point.This stuff is lightweight and dries fast and after a moment I don't feel that I'm wearing it.I don't love that it has that distinct SPF smell and I find it a little hard to spread, it's not as "milky" as I had imagined it.It sat well under my make up and didn't pill or leave a white cast when properly applied.However, only with time will I find if it can nudge out Force Shield for my go-to (I'm hoping this does as well as 'priming' as reviews say overtime, as Force Shield doesn't offer much in that way, although Force Shield has a green tint and leaves not cast at all).

I really love the texture and elegance of this sunscreen. It is very moisturizing and wears beautifully under makeup. The scent is pleasant, but it would be better if it was fragrance free because that is what is best for your skin! The one big thing about this product that makes it a huge drawback for me is the packaging! The lid on this product has a green metallic finish and it flakes off. Little tiny specks of green metallic finish transfer to your hands and then to your face. Oh... you don't want green metallic flecks on your face? Well, too bad. They get everywhere when you simply twist open the cap. And disposing/tossing the lid in the recycling bin is not an option because to keep skin care products such as SPF effective, we need to keep a tight lid on it or it loses its effectiveness and oxidizes. I would love to purchase this product again, but I won't because I simply HATE the lid on this packaging. The overall bottle itself is also problematic. It is hard to squeeze and you can't just cut it open to get the last of it out. It's made of a hard plastic material that is not malleable. They really need to change the packaging and ditch the fragrance. I am sad because the moisturizing quality of this SPF is superior and I loved how it felt under my makeup.

This has been my daily sunscreen for years. They have changed the formula recently and although I prefer the old formula, the new formula is still the best out there. I have oily skin and hate the feeling of products on my face, I’m also extremely prone to breakouts and large clogged pores and blackheads.The new formula is thicker than the old one but it still fully absorbs into the skin within 5-10 minutes. It has a soft velvety finish which makes your skin feel super smooth and soft. Not greasy at all once it dries. It is a thin cream that does need to be rubbed into the skin a little. It leaves no noticeable residue with a soft matte finish that sits well under makeup and doesn’t affect the wear or look of your foundation. It doesn’t clog my pores or make my skin more oily, and you can’t feel or see it once it’s dry. It does have a strong perfume fragrance, pleasant scent but definitely noticeable before it dries. It doesn’t irritate my eyelids or under eye area. Although due to the heavy fragrance it can irritate damaged or compromised skin, for example if you’ve had a reaction to another product and then use this it can be irritating, but not more irritating than most products are on damaged skin. It layers well throughout the day when you reapply, and doesn’t become slimy when wet like a lot of sunscreens do. The packaging shape is super convenient for taking it with you out and about to reapply. The higher price is well worth it in my opinion, comparable to most good quality sunscreen prices. I’ve tried almost every kind of sunscreen available and this is by far my favourite. Not greasy, but doesn’t turn powdery when dried like some matte ones. All round a quality sunscreen that wears well and is comfortable on the skin. This will always be my #1 pick
