300N Square Euro Beech Staircase Newel Post, 3' x 48', Premium Hardwood, Modern Routed & Notched Top, Indoor Use

Customer asked me to build an affordable railing surrounding a stairwell. Bought six of these to take care of it. The wood quality is good, what I didn't know when ordering was that the posts were made of sandwiched wood, meaning you will see a nice face on one side and see the sandwich on the adjacent side. They are solid wood, but not one solid piece. There was so much variation on one of the posts because of the different color woods in the sandwich that I had to make sure I hid this post in a blind corner. If I painted them, there be not an issue, but the customer wanted them to be natural to match the floor.

They look amazing! Easy to stain to match my floors. So glad I had my contractor change our posts.
