After seeing a YouTube video for quick updos.. I quickly zipped on to Amazon to see what I could find. I chose this pack because it had 2 of each color and different finishes. The length of the pins is just perfect for me. I like that in a top knot, both ends peep out.Pros:-sturdy. You won't accidentally bend these putting them in our out. The prongs are thick- good curvature to fit your head-feels like nothing is there. No poking into your scalp like a claw clip or Bobby pin-gentle on hair. The smooth finish allows me to put them in amd take them out without pulling a single hair!-fairly easy to use. Honestly I got them in first try, but not as tight as I wanted. Just YouTube french pins and you're set!-only one pin is needed to hold a bunch! Sometimes I use the matching 2nd pin for a cute look of if I want it extra tight (still mo headaches like a bunch roller can give).Cons:-the matte finish gold pins did scratch a little on the surface when put in a bag that I had. Now I put them in a jewelry box. Problem fixed! Just wish I knew.-they may not be great for super long thick hair unless you are using multiple. I would just make sure your bun wasn't longer than the dimensions they provide if you plan on using one pin at a time. Otherwise just use multiple.I love these so much I wear them every day and even purchased a second set for my dad's girlfriend! Highly highly recommend.

I like these. They are smooth but not slick. I wear a few at a time and haven’t had any slip out yet. I did notice that after wearing them all day one had become twisted. This has been a problem for me and these looked pretty stout but they do flex. I didn’t try to bend it back to shape for fear of braking or weakening it. Mostly pleased with the product and the price.

I like the weigtt he, it isn’t flimsy. I didn’t want plastic that would easily break. This stays in my hair all day.

I would not get these if you have long thick hair. That is me. They are easy to put into the hair but they really can't hold the weight of my hair and they don't stay in very long. They are much shorter in length than I thought they would be. They are well made and sturdy so If you have thin hair they might work for you.

These are super cute! I have gotten compliments on them multiple times. They do seem to have a silver/ gold coating on them but I have not noticed them get scratched as of yet. It takes a little bit to learn how to use them if you haven't used them before but once you do they are super easy and can hold your hair pretty tight (depending on your hair texture too)

These work great even if you don’t have thick hair. They are light weight enough so they don’t fall out. I have long wavy but fine hair and use these often.

I’m giving these a 4 because they are nice but hard to use - and that could be user error.They look just like the photo. They aren’t heavy and feel more plastic than metal. They are pretty durable- I know because they have fallen out of my hair quite a few times.They do hold up nicely but I needed 2 to actually hold (again, I could be doing it wrong).I haven’t tried with short hair yet but my hair was medium to long, normal thickness.
