This jacket fills that weird grey area between a base layer, and a midlayer. The fit is slim and athletic, so it does bundle up those loose base layers underneath it when you stretch out your arms. Works much better with tight fitting base layers though (I use Helly Hansen Lifa Lightweight, and for colder weather... Carhartt Force midweight synthetic-wool blend over that).Surprisingly warm for how thin it is, it's very tightly woven outer fabric traps heat efficiently. Comfortable in the upper 40s with just a t-shirt under it. Put the hood up, and it will keep you warm into the upper 30s with just a base layer. Breaths and stretches very well too. The wind resistance is decent, and when compared to a basic zip up fleece (Say Columbia for example), it's much better for both warmth and wind resistance. Can't attest for durability yet, but you are paying for some very good, warm, and comfortable fabrics.For sizing, if you want it to be form fitted and close to your skin, choose your normal sizing. Loose base layers won't work well underneath it and will get scrunched up with movement (with the exception of short sleeves/sleeveless). Go a size up if you want a bit more room and want to wear it like any other 'hoodie'.I wish I could say I'd be confident brushing up against branches and foliage with this, but it isn't designed for that, and you will need a shell/jacket over this. Will work everywhere else as a top layer except for the deep untamed woods.

Extremely comfortable, well fitted (183cm, 74kg and M fits me perfectly), hard wearing and warm- the wool blend means it does not get stinky like so many other fleece jackets and can be worn for days at a time. IMO the best value fleece jacket on the market, and the blue looks great.I will probably buy a grey one too.

Super produit, cher certes, mais tres durable, superbes finitions, les 20% de laine se font sentir dans le pouvoir calorique et la respirabilité.je fais 1,79m pour 77kg. La taille M est parfaite. Le stretch du tissu est tres agreable a porter.

Material macht einen sehr wertigen Eindruck aber Schnitt war merkwürdig. Steht am deutlich am Bund ab.
