CarharttMen's 6-inch Waterproof Wedge Soft Toe

I wrote a review a little while ago but now after over a month I still believe these are not only the most comfortable work boots I have ever worn but they are absolutely the most comfortable shoes and that sounds like I'm going a little far but are you I'm 100% open truthful opinion. So I would most definitely try these boots there is in no way you will be disappointed at all! I recommend these boots for anyone.!

The media could not be loaded.  I like these boots so much that I bought a second pair. Wore the first pair for a year and they are still in really nice shape , just wanted some freshies for workI took a 2000 mile motorcycle trip in these last July and went through more rainstorms that I could count. I can definitely attest to the fact that they are waterproof (given you wear proper rain gear)Super comfortable right out of the box and fit as expected.For what it’s worth I bought a pair of Thorogood moc toe boots and the build quality of these is as good and these are leaps and bounds more comfortable. Just wish these were made in the USA!

I ordered my regular size and at first they were so tight I thought about sending them back. But I decided to see if they would break in and to my surprise they quickly stretched out to be very comfortable. But over the next few weeks they kept breaking in and actually got to the point they were too loose. I solved the problem by replacing the insole with something more substantial.The boots have good water resistance. I used to take them into damp/muddy areas all the time and my feet have always remained dry, but now I have to avoid wet areas to avoid injuring myself.These would be a 4 or 5 star boot if the soles weren't dangerously slippery. What little tread the sole had wore off quickly and I've actually slipped and fallen down a few times wearing these boots. Trying to walk on wet mud is like walking on wet ice. I've had flat soled shoes and boots before and have never had this problem. I'm steady on my feet so when I slipped and fell again today (probably the third time in these boots?) I felt compelled to write a review and warn others.If I lived in the desert or somewhere it never gets wet I'd probably buy these boots again but they are not a fit for me in my current situation. From here on out I can only wear these boots if it's completely dry out, which pretty much negates the point of spending extra money on waterproof boots.

I wear a size 11.5 in a shoes. I ordered an 11.5 wide in this boot and had to send it back, it was way too long. I ordered a size 10.5 wide and sent back the other order. I am happy with the 10.5 wide but I almost feel like I could have gone with a 10 wide and still been good for wearing a thick pair of wool socks without getting too snug.Also something to consider is that the insoles are not glued in (at least they were not with mine) so I took them out. I don't typically like insoles with shoes they cause me foot problems with my arches. The flatter the better for me. These shoes did get a lot more spacious when those insoles got taken out and I really could have gone down to a 10 Wide. Honestly if it wasn't too much of a hassle I would have tried a 9.5 Wide which is just mind boggling to think about considering I find myself having to choose between 11.5 and 12 even with certain shoes.Other than that, I have worn the boots a couple times here in the fall. Haven't had them out in the rain or more importantly, the snow. I love this style boot but I know from past experience they can be the most slippery and treacherous boots money can buy when worn out on the snow/ice. Like is almost comical how slippery these types of boots are in the snow when they are advertised as manly work boots haha. I guess slipping and wiping out in the parking lot on a January morning is the kind of masculinity that the Red Wing style boot is aiming for with its customer base. My girlfriend has the hots for me when I wear stuff like this with a pair of denim jeans and a big ol' heavy flannel so honestly I'll take the attention from a women over my own personal safety any day. Any guy that tells you otherwise is just trying to sound tough and independent. But we all know he isn't more than a few lonely Busch Lights from going on Facebook and messaging girls they went to high school with to tell them they were the ones that got away. What I am trying to say is, order a size that fits and cross your fingers that a women finds you to be worth her time. Don't be the strong independent guy, be the slippery simp.

I am definitely going back to Red Wings FOR SURE!! I have Carhart a shot but they don’t compare to the quality of Red Wings.. As you will see in the photos the leather is wavy from wearing them after 2.5 months , this never happened to my Red Wings after wearing them for a year before changing them out . Let alone the laces came like that after several emails back and forth with Carhart they said they would send me new laces which never came and quite frankly I was over the whole process of going back and forth..

I really like the quality of these boots! They look and feel great. The size on these boots, however, run about a size and a half larger than what I normally wear in shoe size. I usually wear a size 10 1/2, and finally fit into a size 9. So, I would highly recommend getting these boots, but order them a size and half smaller.I hope they last me a long while, since these are my first pair of Carhatt's.

You would think that the seller would include the laces for the boots. Perhaps these had been previously opened...idk. not impressed after spending $200

These are great for working all day. Not too heavy. The sole is super comfortable. They lace up snug. Good looking for casual wear.
