Love the Lego Juniors Series! Easy to Buikd!
Lego is a trusted brand in our house! I love the Lego Junior series! The same size bricks as the regular Legos, but easier to build! It gives the young builder easy to follow directions and numbered packages! Lego quality and value are always superior! This particular set at $7.99 is a great value and makes a great gift. Easy enough for a 4/5 to build, but enjoyed by all ages!

Tiny pieces but fun
I think this is a cute toy. I guess I thought juniors legos would not be as tiny as they were. it's a big step up from duplos. These pieces were so tiny. My 4 year old loved it and it's a fun toy but I wish the size of some of the pieces were a bit bigger.

Impressed by Details
Lego is great at the details. From the instruction booklet to the tiny little hooks for each accessory. They didn't just throw pieces in a box--they carefully planned out the details of this little helicopter police/bank robber kit from hooks to hang the handcuffs and walkie-talkie or the helmet visor that actually moves up and down to the propellers that actually spin and the helicopter hatches that actually open and close. Though I grew up playing with Legos, this was the first set we purchased for our son who is 3.5. While he did need help connecting some of the pieces, I don't see that as a negative at all (especially since these Juniors kits advertise as 4 and older). It just means he will keep getting better at it until he can do it himself. Many of the pieces were intuitive enough that he knew where to put them without going through the instructions. I was surprised how many separate pieces were actually included in a Juniors kit--didn't seem like it would be any different if it were a regular kit unless maybe the body of the helicopter itself would have to be constructed. But again, I saw that as a positive because I want to start building his Lego collection now and I was never interested in purchasing the non-compatible Duplos. Since I'm a sucker for marketing, I'll probably keep buying the Lego Juniors for him the next couple of years, but as I said before, they probably aren't much different than a regular kit.

Awesome price on a quality starter set
Got this for our 2 1/2 year old because he is always after his older brother's LEGOs. He loves that it is police and a helicopter. The build is very easy. I'm not saying my 2 1/2 yo did, but a year older, and I bet he could with minimal assistance. This set is a great price, and I love that the Juniors sets can go with regular LEGOs (versus Duplo which only work with them in certain ways). My older son likes the set, too, and is waiting for the day that he can commander it for his police fleet. Money well spent for our LEGO loving household.

Great on imagination play!
My youngest is 5 and loves Legos. This was one of the two sets for Juniors I got him and he just loves it. The helicopter is awesome and easy to set up. He loves walking around the house making "copter" noises. It's just adorable!

Some small pieces
My 4 year old has recently taken to Legos. The Police Helicopter is one of the first ones I got for him. He needed some help putting it together at first. This set is typical Legos - lots of smaller pieces (like the money that goes in the ATM machine. My son played with the helicopter like his other toys and I'm pretty sure we've lost 50% of the pieces now. Can't fault Lego for that though! It's a great product.
