PRIMECOM Level 2 Electric Vehicle (EV) Charger (220V / 240Volt, 16Amp) Portable EVSE Smart Electric Car Charger, 30', 40', and 50 Feet Lengths (European, 50 Feet)

I recently moved into a 100 year old with no exterior outlets or a garage. Was in a bind trying to figure out how to charge my 2015 Chevy Volt. This allows me to use the 240v dryer outlet I have inside the house. The cord is long enough to span the distance of my house from the laundry room in the front and make it all the way to back of my driveway. It's worked perfect! Full charge in under 4 hours. No need for an electrician or a fancy charging station. Absolutely worth the cost. I've been using the charger for 3 months every day now completely outside, no cover in rain and snow and have not had any charging issues.

Works just fine. Easy to use. Spending $20-28 monthly (Feb-May 2024) to power my EV. Simple.

After buying my new EV car I was concerned as I couldn’t find near me the super charger and whatever I found on my way home from work was always occupied. So I found this charger on Amazon and couldn’t be more happy because now I sit in the car every morning with full battery. I use my dryer outlet. It is not very quick with capabilities of the electrical system in my home but I did not change anything in the electrical system and saved a lot of money. Thank you for your product.Customer service is great. Any question that arose before I purchased this product was answered immediately!.

Based on the product description, this should have worked for my Toyota RAV4 Prime. Unfortunately, the J1772 connector will not attach to the vehicle's charging port. I called Primecom.Tech, and the guy who answered the phone claimed the pins in the charging port of the RAV4 Prime were slightly thicker than those on standard ports that take J1772 connectors. I found that claim dubious, as I have had no problem with using public charging stations (those connectors attach just as easily as the one that came with my vehicle).Anyhow, he said the company obtained some connectors from the same manufacturer in Korea that supplied Toyota with parts, and he would send me a replacement unit made with one of those connectors. After a second phone call, several text messages, and almost two weeks of wasted time, I did not receive a replacement unit, and the guy did not respond to my two text messages asking for a shipment tracking number (so much for his claim that it would take longer to do an exchange through Amazon). I ended up returning the unit for a refund through Amazon and buying a different brand (which BTW fit my vehicle's charging port).

I'm in military housing so I couldn't install a 240V in my garage or outside. Purchased this to charge once a week from the dryer plug. Needed the length to reach through the garage and couldn't be happier. Charging once a week overnight keeps me running the whole week. Unit feels sturdy and thick.

I ordered this because I was new to the EV world and it seemed a good value for the money.That being said: it works just fine, there is nothing wrong with it BUT it is just 16 AMPs. It takes 5 hours for my Pacifica to bring it to a full charge. With the 30 mile range I have, I need to recharge it FASTER. Here is the thing: I drop my son at preschool 8:30 in the morning and pick him up 12:30 and it is 24 mile round trip, so when I am back around 9 I need to charge it within 3 hours. With the 16 AMP that just doesn't work for me....After 2 weeks, I ended up buying a 32 AMP charger and its works really great. It brings it to a full charge from 0% to 100% in a bit more than 2 hours.Conclusion:If you are not in a hurry and just charge overnight, this charger does a great job.If you need FAST charging, stay away from it.

(2022 Audi E-Tron) I have this charger plugged into an old welder outlet in the garage at the place I am renting. It has been used daily, unheated / uninsulated garage through a midwestern winter. So far so good (4 months). The cord length is perfect for me, whether or not I back-in my vehicle.NOTE: When I first got this charger, the "tooth" that lifts up to release when you press the button to unplug from your vehicle was too deep / aggressive, and was preventing unplugging from my vehicle.I had a few frantic minutes of figuring out how to break this thing off my car, without hurting my car. I was able to wedge a very thin instrument to flip the catch all the way up and release it. I then took a file to it and shaved off about a milimeter of plastic off the catch "tooth" to ensure it wouldn't get stuck again.In retrospect, I figure that is the price for the "made in China" nature of this product, but I won't lie, AT THE TIME, I was sweating/swearing, using the vehicle's emergency charger release lever, panicking about how I was going to get this dang thing off my car for a good half an hour. Caveat Emptor...YMMV, etc.

My EV came with a charger but it kept tripping my breakers. I had the electrician check my set up twice and they reassured me that the circuit breaker etc was rated to handle a 50 amp 240V charger.I bought this one for the price and fact that I didnt need to wire it in.I bought the wrong plug adapter - I have a 14-50 receptacle and got a 10-30 plug. I called the company and they sent an exchange in 2 days - with a return envelope for the one I couldn’t use. They paid for shipping. My mistake and they happily took care of me FOR FREE. Switched plugs out in 30 seconds and was good to go. Car has been charging just fine ever since.ChRge cable length is plenty long.

I have owned this charger for two years and it has worked great. I recently had a issue when it stopped working at every use without some difficulty getting it to connect. I contacted the seller and was impressed how they got back to me right away. Over a few text messages we were able to resolve the issue easily and my charger works as it once did.

I had this charger for over 2 years now, it was working perfectly, untill it fell from my daughter hand, I tried contacting them before buying a new one, and David was very helpful even though the warranty was finished long ago.I have 2020 PHEV Outlander, it charge the car complete in around 4 hours.The charger is doing the job, and thier service is amazing. Bought it before delivery of my Rav4 Prime. Never even used the 120V system that came with car. Tracks how many KWH per charge so it is easy to calculate cost.
