Great Classic(In my opinion).
I watched these movies when I was young and now sharing them with my son. They don't make movies like this anymore.

I love these movies
Great movies. This movie set the trend of having suspenseful jazz drumming during chases. It was just well done and timeless.

Ask Yourself This Question...
Those of you looking at this product and reading these reviews have probably already seen all or most of the movies and are considering buying this set because you like them. So ignore all the nonsense and ask yourself just this one question: Is there more value in buying this box set, or in obtaining each of these movies individually? The answer is indisputably in favor of the box set. Not just because the movies are cheaper as a group, but because of all the quality extras you get. I'm not talking about the cheesy poster reproductions and the silly police star, I'm talking about all the interviews and scholarly debates about the social impact of the movies that are included in the extras. By watching these you will discover for instance, why the studio decided to follow Dirty Harry with Magnum Force. Additionally, there is a bonus CD with an interesting feature about Clint Eastwood's career.Dirty Harry is as popular today as he ever was largely because some of the same problems addressed in the films are still with us today: a justice system where it is difficult for the victims of crime to receive real justice, money and influence buying lenient treatment, rampant political correctness, and a press with an attitude that assumes the police are nearly always wrong when it comes to any high-profile case or any case involving any of the press' pet roster of the "oppressed". That angered the average citizen then and it angers them now. Dirty Harry knew what to do: you don't coddle the criminal, you eliminate him so he will commit no more crimes. That resonated with a large segment of the population and still does.I like all the films to a certain degree but my favorites are the very topical Dirty Harry whose Scorpio adversary had real-life parallels in the Zodiac killer, The Enforcer where the rag-tag People's Revolutionary Strike Force had a real-life parallel in the Symbionese Liberation Army, and Sudden Impact where it is delightful to see Sondra Locke actually get justice by NOT being charged in the revenge killings of her rapists thanks to a technicality of the sort that usually benefits the criminal. So, if you're wondering whether or not you should buy Dirty Harry Ultimate Collector's Edition, ignore the few naysayers and stick it in your cart. Its a set you'll enjoy for life.

Clint Eastwood's Inspector Harry Callahan-All the flicks in a terrific box set for the first time
I first saw "Dirty Harry" in the theater soon after it was first released at Christmas 1971. "Magnum Force" in the theater when it was first released at Christmas 1973. "The Enforcer" in the theater soon after it was first released at Christmas 1976. "Sudden Impact" in the theater soon after it was first released at Christmas 1983. And "The Dead Pool" in the theater soon after it was first released in July 1988. Now I have this special edition DVD box set and appreciate them more than ever. The National Film Registry started by The Library of Congress in 1988 to preserve films it considers "culturally, historically or aesthetically significant" put "Dirty Harry" on the list in 2012. They add around 25 movies to the list every year. There are around 800 movies on the list. Quite an honor. The American Film Institute,(AFI,) started back in 1973 on their list of The Top 100 Heroes and Villains back in 2003, "Dirty Harry" ranked No. 17. AFI's list of The Top 250 Film Scores of All Time from 2005, Lalo Schifrin score is on the list. Schifrin is credited with creating "Jazz/Fusion." The AFI's list of The 100 Greatest Movie Quotes from 2005 , "You've got to ask yourself one question: "Do I feel lucky ?' Well, do ya, punk !" ranked No. 51th on that list. Writer/Director John Milius is credited with that line. "Go ahead, make my day." ranked No. 8 on the list. The tagline for one of the movie posters read.... "Detective Harry Callahan....You don't assign him to murder cases....You just turn him loose. Clint Eastwood had one in his office that read... "Dirty Harry and the homicidal maniac. Harry's the one with the badge. That one sold at an auction on eBay for 10,000 dollars. The movie poster with the tagline, "Detective Harry Callahan.....He doesn't break murder cases....He smashes them !" was chosen by AFI as one of the best movie posters of the '70's. My ratings-"Dirty Harry"- 4 out 5 stars, a little dated now. "Magnum Force"- 5 stars, really entertaining. Clint Eastwood's personal favorite. "The Enforcer"-3 out of 5 stars, just not as good. "Sudden Impact"-2 out of 5 stars, Eastwood directed, mediocre ,at times ridiculous. "The Dead Pool" 5 stars, the grand finale, really entertaining.

Get on your own iconic 'Dirty Harry' box set
This is one of my favorite items of my entire blu-ray catalogue, and I proudly put it on a shelf of its own.The design is impeccable and the finishes are luxurious, the discs's designs are top, and the wallet and badge are SUPERB with real vintage leather.I already owned the Dirty Harry Blu-ray US Import individually, and some feel that the sequels are only commercial reasons to stand an iconic character, however I do feel that it is great to own all the movies and do a monthly marathon with all of them, plus you will have a lot of extras to see, so this is a must-own for lovers of hours and hours of extra material. This will keep you busy.An all time favorite 2008 item, that it is now very expensive because it is out of print. Thanks to Amazon, I could get a copy of this out of print box set for an excellent price.4/4

The quintessential Clint Eastwood character
I have been a fan of Clint Eastwood for years now and I was thrilled to be able to add this DVD to my collection. Five films that cemented this actor into the subconscious of anyone who enjoys a good cop story with entertaining word play and lots of action. The phrases "Go ahead, make my day" and "Do you feel lucky punk?" uttered from the grimacing sneer of Dirty Harry, a San Francisco cop who doesn't take crap from anybody, is enough to keep you riveted to the screen. Each film has its own unique story line and particular crime which, in the end, is solved by Eastwood's character who seems to fight endlessly against corruption, greed, and immorality in his quest for the common good. The DVDs arrived well before the promised arrival date in excellent condition although my only criticism of this set is that the DVDs (there are 5 of them) are not separated individually but are stacked on top of each other which makes it difficult to select a film when you have to take all of them apart to do so. I would order from this company again though.
