AVI-8 P-51 Mustang Blakeslee Chrono Black Brown

As a big aviation enthusiast, I appreciate this watch for its very attractive and aeronautical styling. Some may find it a bit busy (or are some just a bit too serious and lacking in fun/imagination). I enjoy all the small but precise features, from the subdials and their aircraft-like bezels to the B-style dial to the skeletonized hands. It's a very readable and usable watch for EDW (though the date is recessed more than I would like, so it's a bit hard to read in low light). The chrono movement is great, nicely smooth second hand sweep and nice 'instant click' reset. The buttons take a bit of pressure to actuate, not nearly as smooth and light as more expensive movements (but that is what one would expect for the price; I have used the same movement in other 'affordable' watches and had the same experience, very firm press required on the buttons). All in all, a very fun, interesting, if not down right captivating piece at a very affordable price.

Bought this watch in another color back in March of 2022. Within a month and a half, there was a crack underneath the crystal and that chunk was causing the hands to stop moving and keeping time. I sent it into their certified repair shop for a warranty repair, as the company has an advertised 2-year warranty. I paid over $50 to ship the watch there and back. Within a week, without any communication, I was sent an invoice for $205 for repair work on said watch. Both the AVI-8 and the watch repair were extremely unhelpful. I have sent emails and have hit a complete roadblock with them, as they have not gotten back to me. DO NOT buy from this company if you are looking for good customer service post-purchase. Spend your $300 elsewhere on a company that can and will stand by their product once it is in your hands.

This watch is really nice looking and amazing quality.

Un soucis de livraison avec UPS, mais le vendeur a pris contact avec moi et a résolu le problème rapidement.La montre P-51 est très belle, bien finie. Le cadran est bien détaillé et lumineux la nuit. les poussoirs du chrono sont par contre très durs, il faut appuyer fort pour déclencher le chronographe, mais peut-être qu'ils vont s'assouplir avec le temps...A recommander pour ceux qui aiment l'aviation et les beaux objets.
