Pool Water Chlorine Tablets

Seem to work well
We use these to check that our water softener is working, as it often fails to regenerate.. these work like other test strips, i.e. no change in colour is a positive/good result. I appreciate that it is chemistry, but a no change in colour should be a fail or invalid test result. I always fun a positive test strip under our unsoften drink water tap, to check that the strip does change colour under hard water.

Good and easy solution for testing water hardness levels.
Recently two things happened..a block salt water softener developed a defect and a dishwasher starter to leave behind limescale deposits at the end of the drying cycle. However, at the time I had no reason to suspect the block salt softener.I searched for water hardness test kits (not to be confused with pH test strips) and found this. Very simple to use...with a straightforward matrix to determine water hardness levels. Why not 5*? The strips are clear plastic..personally I would prefer a more recyclable material.

Good product but at very high level accuracy
Does what it says. I've tried multiple times on multiple days and it seems to be consistentOnly negative note is is that for hard water readings are at 100 and 250 so hard to know to which of the end your reading is.

Inexpensive, and they work
I was initially fooled by the direction of the text of hardness (0, 50, 100, 250, 425ppm - perhaps not that sensitive in the region of average hardness of 300ppm in my area) printed against the colour comparison strips on the bottle, and was misled into trying to compare by placing the strip with them around the circumference of the bottle. Revisiting the next day I realised I was wrong, and the strip should be held at the bottom of the bottle with the tip towards he top.Having also done some trouble-shooting with the new water softener and discovered a bypass valve wasn't fully open, everything now seems to be as it should be, and the test strips are performing as expected.Given their price, I am revising my previous review to 5 stars.

Easy to use & accurate
Needed to check whether the water softener was doing its job. As it is few years old, had to adjust so that it regerated every 2 days to ensure soft water.100 strips for £10 is good value for money.
