I’m told the Dell chargers have third wire in the cable that the laptop uses to detect what charger it is and if it detects a non Dell charger it complains and refuses to charge the battery. It will still power on but will be throttled so much the laptop will run really slow. I risked getting this more acceptably priced alternative.Recognised on a Dell inspiron 5000 laptopThe power lead is as decribed with a good length lead.The item was well packaged in a neat little box, with not too much packaging waste.All works fine, laptop back to normal performance.

Had a problem with the power cable so swapped with my old one and all worked fine - delivered as promised

This was a huge waste of money. Charged my laptop somewhat for a week or so, then gave up entirely. My Dell even shows warning messages every time I boot up, saying it can't confirm the wattage of the charger. Now it won't turn on at all, and I've wasted 20 quid.

Worked as should, perfect replacement as original died. Great value for money, perfectly described..
