Pretty, kind of floppy
I bought this as a personal travel item to hold an Ipad Air 5th generation and a couple of slightly taller devices, along with a notebook and pen case, my daily carry stuff, and a couple of bought at the airport water bottles. And of course anything a kid shoves at me to hold. Satisfied with that goal so far while trying it out as a daily carry but I don't think it will end up being "the one" for daily carry. There's plenty of room inside, decent but not overwhelming organization options, and some really nice bonus zip pockets. While I'd prefer a lighter lining it's not so deep I lose things. I can stick a Switch and another ipad in without feeling like I'm risking damage. I like the outside pockets more than I thought I would, they're fairly discreet and a good size for the little stuff like lotion, sunblock, and masks. The color and pattern is great, and the material is nice, not too casual, not too slick.Few things to know that might be deal-breakers for you.The side water bottle pockets have almost no give. They borrow about half the bottle's width from the main compartment. It's not a big deal unless you need every inch of that width. I was able to fit a Sigg One in there without a problem, once I realized I had to compress the bag itself to get the bottle in. If the bag is stuffed with a bulky item, you won't be able to. It's so narrow that I've been putting my phone in one of the "bottle" pockets, and feel like it's a secure fit.The laptop compartment is very floppy and loose. It will hold a device separate from the rest of the bag's contents, but I find myself constantly putting something into the bag and having it end up in that compartment because it hangs so loose. Not just like, an inch, it's about a third of the depth of the bag. There's a "shock cushion" gap at the bottom, but it doesn't do anything because it's too small and the pocket is so loose. Anything in that section is more or less on the bottom of the bag unless maybe you stuff a shirt or jacket under it.The whole bag is kind of half stiff, half floppy, too, like it can't decide if it wants to be a nurse/doctor bag or more casual. When I use the longer strap as a backpack or tote it kind of crumples up by a third. I just don't think, based on the few items I'm carrying it right now, that it'd support anything as heavy as a full size laptop comfortably. A couple of smaller devices, a raincoat or sweater, bag of snacks, sure. This would be a great diaper bag, I actually picked it because it's the same form factor as a diaper bag I love just not as deep. Good for a kid stuff for a small trip to the park tote or a gym class bag. I'll probably use mine as a grab and go plein air art bag, since it'll fit a larger sketchbook comfortably. For the price and the quality (assuming the zippers hold up) I'm not unhappy with it at all.

Nice bsckpack
Just the right size; well made and durable. I especially like the straps and handle. There are a lot of pockets to put ones phone, computer, personal items. Outside there are areas for keys or whatever you need to reach easily. The bag isn’t too heavy so basically what you put inside will be your weight. The design is what you see in the image of choices. I like the material as a spill can easily be wiped off.

Very Versatile and Eco-Friendly.
At first I thought it was too loud. I’m pretty conservative. But I used it on a recent trip to the FL Keys. It’s a backpack, purse and shoulder bag all in one. It’s made of recycled plastic so it’s earth friendly. It’s waterproof. It’s also got great organized storage. It has a padded pocket that will fit a tablet on the inside along with 3 more pockets, one of them zippered. The outside has 3 zippered pockets, two in the front and one on the side. I used the one on the side to hold my phone and spare charger. There is a pocket on each side that will hold plastic water bottles (18 - 19 oz). I used one for my sunglasses and the other for a small notebook and pen. I got lots of compliments because it’s very eye catching. All in all a great purchase.

Such a cute bag!
I love this bag. I'm commuting again, but my old backpack was just a little worn and a little too big. This one is super cute and, for most days, the perfect size. Much easier to carry, and more comfortable at my feet on the bus. It is a *little* small, though. I mean, it carries what I need (laptop, notepad, wallet, sunglasses, a few other necessities), but really no room for anything extra. If I want to buy anything after work, I'll need a second bag. But so far I'm very pleased. It seems well made and sturdy, as expected from Sak. I got the blue turtle one, and I love the colors!

Beautiful Designs and Functional Well Made
I would like the manufacturer to please consider these ideas for and upgrade to this beautiful knapsack. I have used knapsacks for years, so I I have a lot of experience. This is the perfect size to use as a personal item to carry on a flight. I am suggesting the following MINOR design updates. 1. The zipper pouch on the back should be horizontal if kept in the new design. A vertical zipper reduces the security of the item inside as it could come loose without knowing it during use. 2. I propose getting rid of that pouch and zipper and adding a wide band of the same fabric on the back to slip over a suitcase extended handle. That wouild turn this bag from a B+ to and A+. If you do, it soon, I will buy it for my upcoming flight!

Ideal everyday bag
I like the way you can easily switch from backpack to crossbody bag. Several storage pockets and a section for tablet. Can easily fit a 16.9 oz water bottle. Wish the inner lining was not black. Easier to see in the bag with a lighter color. Gray might be a better choice.

Sakroots Loyola in Midnight Seascape- it's great! I'm pleased with the purchase!
The media could not be loaded. This convertible backpack was new in manufacturer packaging with all tags and items attached. Some reviews notes that the material is not black like they were expecting. The Eco-twill material is somewhat reflective so it appears more or of a dark charcoal color in the light, but is beautiful and shows the patterns well. Another complaint was not enough turtles, but the material has a repeating pattern so there will be turtles based on the size of the backpack. I have four turtles on the front and two on the back. I like the feel of the material, it is a soft texture which also feels durable and easy to clean.I agree the opening at the top could be bigger, but able to fit my laptop, accessories, my purse, and my water bottle all inside it so it works for what I need it for. I also love the convertible feature in this backpack. Overall I am pleased with it and will update my review after my trip.

Great quality
This bag is a great laptop bag. Many pockets for all of your items. Straps are adjustable to any size. I love it, and would recommend it for anyone looking for a small work/college pack.

Me encanta
Espacio perfecto para una laptop de 15 pulgadas; cargador, cable de audifonos y un mini cuaderno - por cuestiones de peso, no creo ponerle mas adentro-; espero me dure lo suficiente x que me encantó:)

This was a lovely bag but the wrong size for me so I returned it. Sakroots puts out nice items, though!

Loyola convertible backpack.
Extremely well made, strong and durable. This backpack is very roomy without being overly big also a big plus is that it's rain resistant. Lots to love the fact that it uses recyclables is also a bonus. Would gladly recommend Sakroots.
