The Day Before

This is my favorite of Lisa Schroeders books so far. I'm a huge fan and really hesitate to say it this, but I'm pretty certain that she blew me away even more with this book. It was beautiful and planned out perfectly. She left us guessing as to what it was the day before OF, with only hints thrown in for the first while. We can finally piece it all together but still don't know EXACTLY what's going to go down. We get the pieces at the perfect moments and it was brilliant. The romance in this book was amazing. I could just imagine all of it happening and it brought me back to when I was a teenager.I love verse novels and I read any I can find but Lisa's are my favorite. Her technique, her writing style, the emotion she puts in, her characters... she has it all down perfect. And when I read her books they inspire me to write. I use to write ALL the time. Now as a mom I tend to use my time to read because it's easier to deal with interruptions (which are frequent). But when I read Lisa's books I tend to feel a strong need to get some of my own emotions out and to create my own stories. So that is huge to me and I have to say a big thank you to Lisa for being able to write a book that moves me like that.I, of course give this book the full 5/5 stars, but I would give it more if it were possible.

I have never read a book by Lisa Schroeder. After this book It won't be my last. What is another Lisa Schroeder book that you love?I feel in love with this book. I bought it the day it came out on my Kindle. I read & finished it the same day. In 2 hours. I could not stop reading this book. From 1% to 100% I was hooked. Pulled into the words so tight that I couldn't let go!All Amber wants is for things to go back to the way they were.Before she knew..She goes tho the beach, The Day Before... andmeets Cade. Who is hurting as well. But doesn't want to be.As soon as she meets Cade it is like they are there, for each other.With Cade she is happy,Safe.There are no words to describe the bond that they developed over there day together.In the end, I was yearning for MORE. One more letter, One more word.This book was a win for me. & I hope that you read it, so it can be a win for you!!!

I recently purchased this product because the summary did grab my attention and alos because alot of people give great reviews on this book. Let me tell you that I did like the angle that the author went with the overall story and the plot. The book was written in a different way compared to any other book I have ever read. I do think that the story is original. I am tanxious to see if the author will continue with to tell what happens between Cade and Amber. My only issue is that I feel the book was a little too overpriced, considering that is was a very short story. Good read!

Good story line, great play out. Terrible ending. Pretty bland. Unless there is going to be a sequel. It's worth reading. Pretty short as well.

Great story! Just didn't have the same draw as "I heart you, you haunt me". Worth taking the time to read!

Loved the book and came early

I thought it was a bit childish for my age (20 years) but nevertheless it was okay. Style of text was very minimal.

Und wie zu erwarten, wurde ich dafür mit einer wunderbar romantischen und gleichermaßen traurigen Geschichte belohnt."The Day Before" ist genauso wie "In Liebe, Brooklyn" in Versform geschrieben und aus der Ich-From geschrieben. Kurze Sätze, die starke Aussagen beinhalten und einen sowohl zum Nachdenken als auch zum Weiterlesen anregen. Eine Geschichte, die etwas Neues verspricht und sich von den ganzen üblichen Jugendbüchern abhebt und glänzend aus der Menge hervorsticht. Sie dringt bis ins Herz und lässt einen mit einem Gefühl zurück, das einfach süchtig macht.Die Charaktere sind sehr gut ausgearbeitet. Amber denkt für ihr Alter schon über viele Dinge nach, die einen erst viel Später zum Grübeln bringen sollten. Sie ist vorsichtig und ebenso realistisch wie sympathisch, was dazu führt, sich gut mit ihr vergleichen zu können. Ihre Ängste und Hoffnungen sind so liebevoll geschrieben, dass man sich alles bis ins kleinste Detail bildlich vorstellen kann.Genauso auch Cade. Auch wenn das Buch aus Ambers Sicht geschrieben ist, bekommt man einen sehr guten Einblick auf seine Person. Seite um Seite werden Dinge über ihn aufgedeckt, die ihn neben Amber nicht im gerinsten verblassen lassen.Fazit:Für mich ist Lisa Schroeder eine wundervolle Autorin, die es versteht, mit Worten umzugehen und diese gezielt und sicher einzusetzen. Ihre Bücher sind berührend und meine Highlights des Jahres.5 / 5 Punkte
