Magnetic Necklace Clasps with Safety Catches - Set of 2

This is a good product. Look at it carefully to be sure it will work with your necklace. It worked with one of the two necklaces I have, and, on the one that it did work with, I have found it to be very helpful. It is a bit bulky and not terribly attractive but it has enabled me to wear that necklace whenever I wish without having someone else help me to get it on and off.

...because the magnets are too weak for me to feel really safe without the safety catches! Service was great on order/receipt time, no problem there. I just expected lots stronger magnets. The magnets DO "find" each other and help immensely with getting the ends of bracelet together though. That part is great. It's just the safety issue....

I was very disappointed with this product. I thought the idea was very good as I am concerned that the magnetic catches are not reliable and the extra latches would be good as I have them built in on some good jewelry that I own, but these are difficult to use. The magnetic parts are quite small and must be very precisely placed in order to connect or use the safety latch. I've used other magnetic catches with no problem, but I gave up on these and threw them away. No, I definitely would not recommend this product to a friend or anyone.

Pay attention to the size here. These are huge and would be good for a heavy chain. Not the dainty chains most women have. This would spin the necklace around and become the highlight of the necklace for anything other than a heavy chain.

The safety catch is a great idea, but the magnet is not very strong. It seperates very easily. This is a concern, expecially if you attached it to an expensive piece of jewerly

The magnetic strength on these is very weak and the safety catch is so small that it simply breaks off when you try to push it in place. I could not get the first one I tried on the necklace without the safety completely snapping off. These are very expensive compared to other magnetic clasps and mine are going back! And it is a shame because the overall concept is spot on, but the magnet needs to be MUCH stronger and the safety clasp needs to be MUCH more durable.

They were not as strong as I had hoped, but they were ok. They were mailed to me on time so I was happy.

I love the strength of the magnets on these clasps. I also love the added feature of the safety lock that folds over and clips on to the other side of the clasp just in case the magnet comes detached. These are also perfect to give to my mother who is getting older and having trouble clasping some of her necklaces. I highly recommend this product if you are having trouble with the clasps of your jewelry.
