RoselleSeed germination and plant care instructions are included with all orders. Thai Roselle (Red Sorrel) has a long history of culinary and folk medicine use and is usually grown for its edible calyces (fruits) and leaves. Cold hardy in USDA Zones 9b and higher; protect over winter in colder climates. Excellent plant to use in landscaping (as a summertime hedge) in warmer climates but should be grown as a container plant in colder climates. Beautiful dark green foliage contrasts nicely with the red stems and flowers. Prolific bloomer; 3" (about 7.5cm) flowers open in the morning a light yellow color with a slight pink blush and darken to a dusty rose color by evening. The calyx (fruit) is a bright red "cup" at the base of each flower. The calyces are used to make tea, juices, sauces, jellies, wines and pies. ROSELLE :WEIGHT : 10 GRAM / 230 Seeds
