Purchased this for a restomod I am doing on a trailerable houseboat. It was easy to install and includes lots of neat capabilities not always found in stereo systems. The "kit" includes everything that is needed to complete a clean, "from scratch" install. The down side is that the output is significantly on the low side and so installing an amplifier would certainly be prudent. In the end, I am glad I made the purchase but will probably look into purchasing an amplifier as well. UPDATE 09/2020--> The radio portion of this unit stopped working after about 8 hours of use and due to a medical issue on my part was not followed up on until now. The long and short is that the repair quote is $35 evaluation fee + $80 "Basic Repair" fee + shipping to get it to the evaluation center. NOT such a good deal anymore. more than half the original cost for repair assuming the "Basic repair" fee covers it. I will not likely purchase anymore Kenwood products.

Super easy install, kenwood deck is almost the same model I have in my truck so I'm familiar with it. I kind of wish it had basic bass/treble functions instead of a crazy in-depth EQ but I guess that's a good thing? The "stock" EQ options sound like garbage IMO.Sound is not as good as some of the reviews I read made it seem but it's pretty dang good for a $215 system. It comes with a TON of speaker wire. (didn't use any of it)

Sounds great, nice stereo, but every time you use Spotify or Pandora it completely locks the app up so you can’t change the song without disconnecting from Bluetooth. If I were using Radio or CD player or something it would be great, but it kinda sucks with Spotify. If this somehow get fixed, I’ll change the rating.

I installed this on my 2007 sea ray boat and it sounds really awesome. It doesn’t need a amp that’s how loud it is. All my vehicles have stereo systems amps and 12s and this deal here almost tops it off in comparison. I’m really impressed I had Sony’s and I wasn’t sure about these speakers but they sound loud and clear and good bass and the head unit has all types of functions that make it even better. Buy this here u won’t regret it!!! I searched and searched and I’m happy with this buy. Looks nice and clean and sharp too. Thanks as well to all the other reviews on here.

Installed this kit on my 22' pontoon. Even without an amp, the sound is fantastic. Just enough bass - plenty of high end. In the spirit of courtesy, it can go much louder that may be an acceptable volume on the water. If you're not sure a 200w system will be loud enough... THIS one is.

The receiver this comes with is awesome! Puts out good power and easy to use, plus lots of fun good settings. The big problem is the speakers. They sound horrible and distorted on anything over medium volume even with the bass turned way down. Buy the receiver separately along with some other speakers.

Bought the radio in January 2020. Had it installed in my boat a few weeks ago. Doesn’t work-went into “protect “ mode the 1st time we turned it on. Tried to re-set it several times-didn’t re-set. Swapped it out with another radio to see if if was a wiring issue-other radio works fine. Past the return date so I paid for a broken radio.

Junk. Sounded great when first hooked up. Haven’t even made it on the water yet and I’m getting a “Protection - service” message. I tried all of the reset options online, but it needs to be sent back to Kenwood for repairs. The repair costs more than the unit itself. Expensive piece of trash.
