Basting Tape, Double Faced, 1/4" X 50 Yard Roll

I watched a video on sailrite.com “How to make a slatted roman shade.” They used this basting tape to help make the shade. It worked beautifully! I didn’t use one pin in the construction.Note: If you have problems separating the paper-side from the glue, rub the tape into the fabric so the glue adheres firmly.Also do not stitch into the basting tape or your needle will become gummed up. This includes handstitching too.

I used it while making outdoor cushions out of very heavy fabric, and it was strong enough to hold them in place while arranging for sewing.

OMG, it sticks. Used it for sewing some vinyl. Once applied, it didn't let go. Due to my mistakes, I needed to pull the project apart, but this tape made it very difficult. So, It surprised me that it held so strong. Duct tape doesn't even hold this good.

I was surprised at how well it kept 2 layers of upholstery fabric together as I sewed. ONLY PROBLEM - If sewing needle goes into tape the needle gets sticky. So I learned to place the tape in seam allowance instead of on stitch line.

This basting tape works great. I fabricate pouches and bags using 1000D Cordura and 200D Ottertex fabric and this tape holds everything together well. I also sew by hand, no machine, and this has been a game changer for me. It keeps all my fabric straight and no more pocking myself with pins. I just ordered my second roll and plan on using this basting tape by Sailrite again.

I bought this product to help me basing a cushion cover I was sewing. Worked great! Didn’t have to do any hand basting. The tape held it together. Did not gum up my needle on the sewing machine. Would definitely recommend. And I will definitely keep using it.

I bought another brand and found it didn't even stick to the fabric. I tried this stuff and wow!! This is the stuff of dreams! It holds the fabric together perfectly. It goes on easily. Holds the fabric firmly. Does not come off as easily.

Until I started using this my zippers never looked that great, it didn't matter how many clips or pins I used my fabric and zippers always would shift. Now with this tape I no longer have any issues and my zippers look great! The tape doesn't gum up my needles at all! It sticks very well, and never had any issues with the tape, highly recommend this tape!

De tape zelf is geweldig handig maar de lengte is geen 60 maar 50 yard, dat is misleiding en dient aangepast te worden

Used this for basting fabric seems before sewing. Worked as advertised.

Obviously old or defective. Came exactly as shown on another review with same issue.
