The media could not be loaded. This is a fabulous little set of two tape measures, and great value too at the current Prime price of £4.48. The pink, flat tape with inches on one side and cm on the other. It measures up to 60 inches / 150cm. The retractable measure is very handy. When you pull out the tape to measure, it clicks as it passes through the ratchet mechanism so that it stops when you stop pulling (a bit like a car seatbelt). To retract the tape, simply press the button on one side of the circular ‘barrel’ part.Both tapes are very handy, but the retractable one is especially so as you can keep it in a bag without it coming undone and tangling up. No more having to roll it back up again. Five stars!

Priced under £5 for this set of two tape measures, this seems fairly reasonable to me as that's about £2.50 per measure. There are however similar sets available on Amazon.co.uk at the time of the Amazon Vine review that are cheaper however, I do not know if they are also of similar (or better/worse) quality.I am no a seamstress or tailor but I do find it useful to have a tape measure on hand when buying clothing as I can ensure that I purchase the correct size based on the body measurements given by the manufacturer. We do have a tape measure at home for this purpose but it is getting rather old and harder to read the worn off writing and so when I was offered this set to test and review then I opted to do so.You receive a standard soft tape measure in pink, which seems acceptable quality, and a retractable black tape measure (small and compact). Both measures have both inches and centimetres (one on one side and the other measurement on the other side). The retractable tape measure also has a button to allow you to slowly retract the measure or if you continuously press then to retract it fully.I am happy with the overall quality for the price and usefulness of both products. I am therefore happy to recommend.

Really pleased with this duo. I didn’t especially need the long pink tape measure but it’s fine. I have an old cracked version from the 1980s which could probably go into retirement. The pink tape is quick thick and good for measuring larger items.The retractable tape measure is very useful. I find it much easier to use and store a retractable tape measure as it’s very tidy and convenient to pop in a bag or pocket if you need to take it out and about. The tape inside this is much thinner and extremely flexible, almost like a plastic ribbon.As you pull the tape out it clicks after approximately every inch that’s emerged from its little hiding place. As it clicks it holds the tape in place and stops it from retracting. If you don’t want it to click loads, just hold on the retraction button until you want it to stay in place, then let go and it’ll hold it.You get 150cm worth of tape in the retractable tape measure. If you flip it over you have 60 inches of measuring pleasure.When you’ve finished measuring, press the button and the whole tape will whip itself tidily back into its housing. I think it’s always best to hold the tab on the end of the tape to avoid any tangles from it retracting too quickly.Hopefully it’ll stand the test of time and I’ll be very content :)

This is such a good pair of measuring tapes. The pink one it traditional tailor’s tape that’s tear-resistant and durable enough to last years. The inches side in vibrant pink and the centimetres side is actually two-coloured so every 10cm, the background changes from black to pink and back again. This I think is fantastic, it’s not something I’ve come across before but the visual break up actually helps with measuring. Having a vivid pink measuring tape also makes it easy to spot if you misplace it during use (or while stored it away).The little black case is a small retractable measuring tape which holds its position automatically as you pull; press the button on the top to retract it into the case. The tape is black and thinner but it's double-sided and has both inches and centimetres printed on. It’s a lightweight compact case that’s actually handy for keeping as a secondary tape measure in a pocket, bag or in a desk drawer, i.e. it’s not just for sewing but handy for shopping trips (including online shopping; I don’t know about you but I’m constantly measuring things I’m browsing online) and great for general use. Both measuring tapes are easy to read and good quality, no issues whatsoever and a great price too.

Good value for the money

This set comprises a nice broad standard tape measure , easy to read and a cute retractable tape measure.The tape on the retractable one is on a ratchet so when you pull it out you can hear clicks and it stays out until you press the button then it quickly returns.It's small enough to keep in a handbag or pocket for if you need it while out and about. It would also fit nicely into a sewing box and if course keep neat and tidy.I like to always have a tape measure to hand when friends and relatives need to borrow one, don't always get them back though and I was down to my last one before I got these, now I can lend my old one out and keep these two for myself. I've always wanted a retractable tape measure and now I've got one. Oh yes, great price as well, can't be bad.

Amazing quality! Two tape measures for under a fiver. The pink one is particularly useful for me in my sewing and crochet. The markings are clear, and I especially like the metric side with its alternating black and pink sections, making it really easy to see 10cms at a time.The retractable one is small enough and light enoughj to slip into a pocket or handbag. Again, the marking are accurate and clear and the tape is is reeled smoothly back into its holder with a simple press of the button in the centre.Excellent addition to my ever expanding tool kit, and amazingly good value.
