Nice Riding Shoes
After searching among the different options for riding shoes, I decided to go for this pair and I am very happy that I did! The reason I decided to go with these is because of the mix of leather and mesh, which makes them very breathable and airy when I ride. I can wear them even on the hottest days.Another thing I like about these shoes is the mix of the casual look with some safety elements. I ride to work, so I wanted to have the same boots for riding and walking around the office and this pair is perfect for this. They look like regular sneakers, but are quite sturdy and comfortable. I put them on and I feel reinforcements on the ankle, heel, and toe, just like a motorcycle shoe should be. And they look great with jeans! As far as safety features, they have reflective panels, which allow the safe riding after dark. The last feature I really like is the side zipper and pulling strap. At last, I don’t have to tie my shoelaces. This is brilliant, and saves a lot of time!Too big for my nephew, but true to size for me. I suppose they are a bit narrow, so if you have a wide foot, you might want to order one size up.Overall, I’m impressed with the fit and stability of these shoes. 100% recommend!

Everything & More
Spent quite a bit of time searching for a non boot / motorcycle shoe that offers protection / good look / comfortable..I normally wear 9.5 Nike and I ordered same size in these .. they fit perfect / feel great / easy to get on and off and are made well .. I would totally recommend

cheap zipper failure
Boots are pretty good and certainly comfortable for riding, and seem to provide good protection in a crash (I opted not to test that out)...except the side zipper. 5 months in of fairly light use (1-2 rides/week) and the thin, cheap, plastic zipper dropped a tooth in the middle on one side rendering it useless. These are too expensive to effectively be throw-away MSF course plus a few months riding. Boots are in the bin, ordering a better quality, name brand leather pair.

These shoes are at least one size smaller than standard
I received these today, and the reviews said they run pretty much true to size (though narrow). They look great and seem to be well-made. I usually wear a 44 (10.5) and I can barely get these on my foot let alone zip up the side.I have ordered a size 46 (12) and hope they will fit.Update to follow.

Durable motorcycle shoe
It's a well made, well fitting shoe. I like the pull ribbon on the back, it is very convenient. I have put it through rain, gasoline, tar and bugs and it held up fine. I'm on my second pair now.

Comfortable, cool, true to size
Secure fit. Absolutely does not feel like they will fly off during a mishap. Tremendous air flow in the heat. Much more comfortable than my alpine stars

Really nice - totally recommend, but too narrow for me
High quality, great looking. I would absolutely be keeping them if they were wider.

Not all I was hoping for
I feel kind of let down by these shoes, compared to the descriptions. The shoes are hot, and the "breathable" mesh only helps a little. (Though that can be improved with some cooling motorcycle socks.)There's an ankle protector but only on one side of the shoe. Why would you only want to protect one side of your ankle? The zippers are another low point. They're really finicky, so much that they're actually less convenient than the shoelaces. Sometimes I wonder if I'll even be able to get my foot out. I can't imagine the zippers lasting very long like this. It's hard to see it, but the reflective panels mentioned on the Shima website seem to work well. (Shown in the image.) The other strong point is that the shoes really do look pretty cool. It's not terrible, but for the price, I was hoping to get something better.
