Number one, the customer service at Ghostbed is excellent. There was a timing issue involved and the folks at Ghostbed resolved it fairly, definitively and amazingly quickly. Very happy there. Now, the Flex:After sleeping on the Flex for about 3 weeks, I have to give it a 5. It’s not a 4. The Flex is an honest, well made bed. A solid, firm, comfortable bed as advertised. When you first get on (I waited about 10 hours), the bed is quite firm, but comfortable. After a few days it softens up a bit, But not too much.I say not too much for a reason. I had the time to test out a couple of other more expensive hybrids. One was like sleeping on a cloud--very comfortable to test. The other was like sleeping on a trampoline--forget it.The first night I slept on the Flex, when I first laid down, it felt firm. I have chronic lower back and shoulder pain. Old injuries, annoying. After a short while I realized my back muscles were unknotting and relaxing, because, unlike a super soft bed, the Flex technology gave them the support required to relax. It feels great once you get used to it, which happens quickly. The kicker is that when I woke up in the morning and got out of bed I suddenly realized my back didn’t hurt for the fist time since whenever! Wow! I'm not kidding. And it continues improving my spinal situation. If you a have a back problem, even if it's muscular, or scoliosis, you need a firm bed. Sleeping on a cloud is nice, but won’t really help. (Cloud is not in the product’s name, btw.) It’ll feel luxurious at first, but will sink over time. Without tensile support, the sag would probably make your back worse over time, not better. You need enough support. Also, it’s quite cool, temperature-wise. And my wife loves the way it looks. This is a great bed for anyone that wants to promote spinal health in a solid no BS high functioning hybrid bed and get a good night's sleep. This is not a cloud. it’s a really good, supportive bed.

I was really excited to get this mattress. I ordered the split king flex with adjustable base direct from Ghostbed and was excited to see on their website that they shipped out quickly. Sadly, they did NOT ship quickly. They took a couple weeks then shipped out my mattresses without the adjustable bases. It took another 3 weeks for my bases to arrive!When I finally got it all together, I was super excited. Sadly, I found the mattresses to be very hard. Now I know there is a break in period so we slept on them almost 60 nights. They did soften up some but were still not very comfortable. At this point, one of the adjustable bases was making some terrible noises and they had to ship out a replacement. All along this time, any email or call out to customer service was painful and you have to wait close to a week between responses. I assume they only have 1 or 2 agents fielding requests and it’s really the worst.Knowing my trial period was coming up and these uncomfortable mattresses weren’t cheap, I reached out to do a return. They got back to me and said I still had some time and were persistent on sending me some free toppers to make it more comfortable. I didn’t really want it but begrudgingly agreed. The toppers took about a week and a half to arrive and they were these giant 3” memory foam toppers. The bed already sat up super high and this made it worse. They were very generic toppers and really made the bed very warm ( it did sleep nice and cool without the topper) so after a couple nights I requested a return again. Same thing, super super slow responses. I guess normally they would help you donate the items but blaming COVID, I had to figure it out on my own. I donated and sent the receipt to them and waited another week and a half or so before they said it was accepted and they would process the refund within 15 business days! That’s 3 weeks!!! After hitting the 3 week mark, I emailed again. Within an hour I saw my refund get processed. I’m sad the bases were not refundable because now I got stuck overpaying for generic bases. I was also out a fair amount of money having to buy a new mattress before getting my refund.Overall, I find Ghostbed to be a poorly run company with a great marketing department selling mediocre products at a premium price. Their customer service is a complete disaster and they really should outsource because it couldn’t be worse!I now feel burned and went to a traditional mattress store where I could lay on a bunch of beds and try out what worked best for me. I will never but a “bed in a box” again and would encourage others to run away!

We have been talking about buying a new bed for over a year. I’ve started really researching for the last few months as we decided we would buy ourselves a mattress for Christmas (yes we are at that age & have been married for many years :) ) I had it narrowed down to a few different mattresses, but really felt like this was the mattress I wanted. We wanted something with memory foam, but figured we should get a hybrid because we are heavy and needed support. Also wanted something that wouldn’t wake up the other person when getting up to go to the bathroom.Let me tell you, this bed has been perfect for us!! There’s enough support that you don’t sink to the ground, but enough foam on the top you are surrounded in softness. We’ve been sleeping on it for a month and no more aching when you wake up in the morning and no waking up when someone goes to the bathroom or comes to bed later than the other person.Also didn’t think I’d like the cooling effect, but absolutely love it!We literally opened the box & slept on it after 4 hours. We did notice that it was much more squishy then, but now it’s perfect.Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a hybrid mattress that likes the softness of memory foam, but still needs support!!

This bed hits all the marks👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 It’s soft enough to give you a cozy feeling and it has a perfect firmness that makes us feel supported👍🏻 We love this bed👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻If I had to say it’s missing anything it would be that movement is felt more on this bed than an all foam mattress but not a deal breaker 😁

The bed is everything I expected it to be, my back does not hurt anymore and I can even sleep on my back which I never do. I’m thankful for the purchase

Comfortable

The bed is a good mix of softness from foam and support from the springs. We bought a twin XL adjustable frame from Sams Club and are very happy so far.
