Q: Where are these shirts imported from? Just curious…

Don't know. But probably China. Personally I'm trying not to but Chinese because I was notified last year that a stomach med I had been taking for years was outsourced to China AND BEEN FOUND TO CONTAIN KNOWN CARCINOGENS. smh

This shirt is well made with quality fabric. It is durable. There's no way I would consider it lightweight lightweight. It is closer to a casual dress shirt than a work shirt ..... depending on the kind of work you do. My experience is that the size tends to run on the large side. I ordered a size larger than I thought I'd need and it's WAY too big. I almost could have used a size smaller than I thought I'd need. I just wear it unbuttoned over a jersey to hang around the house.

Q: How soft is the material to the touch?

I consider it soft ... How soft might depend on one's opinion, but I can tell you that it is not the thickness of jeans nor the heft of that denim. It is comfortable and there is no stiffness. The material does not wrinkle easily either, so looks nice after wearing for a while. Easy laundering care.
