Just what I needed!

Backup pump
I bought this pump to be used as a manual backup for our sump pump. The idea was to use an old Trek hybrid (minus the from wheel and rear tire) to drive a pump via pulley/belt setup off the rear wheel. I choose this pump because I could provide the input torque and RPM's with a bike. I built a metal frame and mounted bike and pump, attached the v-belt - done. Building the frame was not as simple as it sounds here. The contraption is not pretty but it works.

Did not work from the start!
I have used these pumps for years as a spray pump with little problems. Could not find it on the local farm store so ordered one on Amazon. From the start, I could not get it to work. Paid higher then ever before, only to fine out it didn't work. Very disappointed!
