Low Budget and Sometimes Awkward, But Still Quite Funny
Much of the comedy in this movie made me borderline uncomfortable. Steve Little's character Chad especially had the lines where you sort of spit the water in your mouth back into your cup and raise your eyebrows, not knowing whether or not its okay to laugh. There are jokes made about just about everything that you're not supposed to make jokes out of. However, I think the humor by in large managed to stay rather satirical rather than juvenile. I saw Chad as sort of vehicle for opening up a discussion about some of the topics raised, which in the end was refreshing. As this is the type of movie that is basically endless talking with very little set changes and action--it's important that the relationship dynamics are simply perfect at all times. Unfortunately, there were a few times that I felt that movie was forcing things a little bit which just served as a reminder that the movie is pretty low budget and takes you out of the momentum. But by in large I found it witty and very different to the types of movies currently being made. It did remind me of times like an extended episode of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia", but that's not a bad thing in the slightest. I would rent this movie first, if after watching the trailer there were moments where you genuinely laughed.

Coffee Town Rocks!!! **Groban fans will love him in this role!!**
I'm going to start off by saying that the main reason I wanted to watch this movie is because I'm a Groban fan...and for all the Groban fans reading this and for "most" of you who possess an actual sense of humor...WATCH THIS MOVIE!! Josh, in his role as "Sam", DOES NOT DISAPPOINT...he nailed this role!! Now, you might think I'm being partial because I am a fan of Josh Groban...but honestly, that's not the case. In this particular role though, Josh really showcases his comedic chops...and he has some of the funniest lines in the movie. Now, onto the movie itself. It is indeed College Humor, so there are jokes that not everyone is going to find funny, but I cannot imagine who, as I smiled and/or laughed throughout this entire movie. Glenn Howerton, Steve Little, Ben Schwartz and Adrianne Palicki are exceptional in their roles as the coffeehouse regulars. Plus, a wonderful actor with Down's Syndrome named Josh Perry has some really funny, memorable lines and scenes. I can happily say that I'm now a fan of this entire cast...they were outstanding.I would definitely recommend this movie, it's pretty original in my opinion and it's laugh out loud funny...and there aren't a lot of movies released today that you can say that about.

Very funny
I love Always Sunny and it was nice to see Howerton not playing a sociopath. Still a self appointed leader in teh "group dynamic" lol but in a different kind of way. The Eastbound and Down guy was hilarious. He takes company sanctioned smoke breaks, only for smokers, but when his boss suspects him of not smoking he has to "break the habit of not smoking" decides to pick up Newports, the black stigma of those cigarettes becomes a small but noticeable joke. The cop in the movie is pretty funny as well, he uses fear to seduce women, "watch out there was a drive by this past week, don't wanna see that pretty face get shot to pieces." Sick but I found it funny, if you like always sunny you;ll like this. Its all a very good ensemble, i thoroughly enjoyed the movie. but who am i right? Just anther guy writing a movie review on the internets with no credibility. I could have ten people locked in my basement, or be feeding dead pigeons to my pet parrot, well I guess you'll just have to take my word for it.Trust me :) :sharpens knife: :slowly descends steps into basement:

Mostly funny in spite of the language
I'm not a big fan of bad language, but this movie had enough cute and funny moments to redeem it. I think this is the kind of movie that will appeal to college age and twentysomethings but also to an additional over 35 demographic (read older Josh Groban fans) who will enjoy the movie for his standout performance. Regardless of whether or not you like this kind of film, Groban's acting was spot on and was particularly noteworthy given its contrast to his "usual image" (I say in quotes because his big fans know he's hysterical....just everyone else who might be surprised). I particularly liked the portrayal of a young man with Down's Syndrome as being much more savvy than many would give him credit for....and that's all I'll say about that as more would be a spoiler, but if you watcn this, you'll see what I mean. :) Overall I give the acting five stars but the plot only 3 stars so that averages to the four stars I've given it....but give it a try. I'm not sorry that I did.

Very funny
Surprisingly hilarious film with a different story...actors are great, really enjoyable performance from Josh Groban, who plays a bit of a twit. Very funny performance from him, most notably when he sings to the gal he is interested in...he is not afraid to send himself up. This film is a real giggle, highly recommended

I was pleased to find this at a reasonable price to buy ...
Thanks for speedy delivery. I was pleased to find this at a reasonable price to buy with some money I was given for Christmas. I'm a big Josh Groban fan and his small but vital role in this is completely "out of character" and not necessarily what people would expect from him which makes it all the more amusing.
