The life of these bulbs varies a lot. The first one I tried lasted a good three months, the second one in the box, only a couple of weeks. The same pattern followed with the next box: one bulb lasted maybe two weeks, the other worked for probably > 3 months. I use these for my red-eared slider, and they are on for 12 hours/day. I've used other, more expensive brands of bulbs, and had the same experience, so this is the best value I've found.

Does not seam to give off the heat of a brand name bulb. I have stopped using them.

Good bulbs, no issues that other reviewers had with # of hours of service. Note: always be sure to handle these bulbs carefully: I never touch with bare hands.

I bought this product march 1st and today in the morning July 28th is when both lights are done. Great product for the price!!!
