I loved it and so did my 3 yo client I used this with. I looked over to see her sucking the newly filled clean water out of the pens. We had just opened it to use. Within hours she was vomiting and having diarrhea and has been for 4 days now. I am afraid maybe it’s toxic in the materials they used plastic or the tips in some way. She hasn’t left her home since covid and eats in home cooked meals. We aren’t sure how it happened & can never be -but I wanted to put a heads up out here jic Bc deathly ill children after sucking water from a plastic pen concerns me

Nice art pad and workbook
Very nice art pad. I know there are 750,000 listings for similar pads, and there are a couple reasons why I landed on this one in the end. I think I settled on this one bc it DIDNT come with nine million pieces and stencils. Good for you if you want to store that sh^t but we do not LOL. It was actually harder to find a listing w out those than anything else. This one comes with just the pad, two markers, and a multi page workbook for alphabet letters. Perfect.I got this for my 15 month old son for Christmas so he hasn’t played w it yet himself but I opened it up and tested features. The pad is pretty large! Another reason I settled on this particular listing was the pictures by reviewers showing a good sized pad. It is probably too big for travel but I suppose it could be folded up and used folded. The pad material is a scratchy, almost rubbery sticky siliconey material. Hope that makes sense. It had tons of creases in it from being folded. They probably should sell this in a tube and not a square box. I’ve taken it out of the box and rolled it up to wrap it, so hopefully some of the creases chill out by Christmas morn.It comes with two markers, which is nice. They tell you at the top how to unscrew the cap and of course it’s opposite of what they say lol. This pen, unlike just about everything in the world, is righty-loosely, lefty-tighty haha. No biggie it’s just funny that go through the trouble of printing the whole thing on the marker plastic and it isn’t even right. Gotta love it.It holds a decent amount of water and after filling the marker and using it for a little while there is no reason to fill the entire marker to the top. It will leak out the marker tip and make the pad sloppy looking w unwanted and unintended water marks all over it. If you lay the marker down on its side the water will seep out the tip. It must be placed standing up in order to avoid this. Good luck to us with that with a toddler. That’s why I suggest going easy on the water filling. There are some hidden letters and pictures to trace and expose on the pad if you’re child is not so inclined to be creative right out of the gate. I used these as testers for the marker and drying features. My pictures show the letter O. I used the mark on them, they worked great, and I included pics of drying at the 2 min mark and the 5 min mark. By 5 min they were dry. But that’s with doing absolutely nothing else w the pad. If your lid is continuously using the pad and rewetting areas over and over, the pad will likely not dry that quickly. So just have realistic expectations. I fully expect this pad to look like a war zone that is perpetually wet lol. But in theory, it does dry nicely and quickly.I also used the workbook w the marker. It traced the letters well and I took a pic of that one too at the 5 min mark. The directions say about 10 min for drying for the workbook. I feel that is accurate. Again, a lot of water comes out of that pen, some you can’t tell is there, making the pad and workbook far more saturated than it seems. But everything does work nicely. All in all I am pleased with this item and glad I settled on this one. My son is a bit of a cannonball so hopefully he doesn’t just pick it up like a blanket and walk around shaking it everywhere and actually sits down nicely to use it. Might have to do it at the kitchen table lol.

My kids love it
My kids love this! They all 3 played peacefully together, which we all know is a big deal. The mat has letters on it for tracing if your kids are older. My one complaint is that the tops of the markers came off a bit too easily and my kids enjoyed dumping the water from the market on the mat and watching the whole thing change color. At the end of the day it was water so not a huge deal.

Great purchase!
Bought this for my 2 year old and we both have a lot of fun with it!! Markers, crayons, and paper can get expensive and lost, broken, etc.. but this is reusable over and over just fill with water! The markers do wear some with how rough my tot is on them.. and we have to soak the tips of them in water from time to time to keep the definition of the marker flowing.. and our mat is becoming a bit worn in spots but honestly for the price we have gotten so so many hours of use out of this product. And I don’t have to worry about my baby running around drawing on things with the markers, they’re only water! Wish I would have bought sooner!
