enough to satisfy either adventurer or botanist
A lot of details on the landscape as well as the plants and flowers, enough to satisfy either adventurer or botanist, especially an adventurous botanist :)

A story (one of the best) of the journey through the Tsangpo Gorges.
Terrific book with mile by mile adventure and genuine Shangri La connections. Science is there, but primary point of view is the incredible journey taken. Best pictures of any of the Tsangpo books.

A Classic True Adventure
The story of Frank Kingdon Ward and his exploration of this remote unexplored part of Tibet is marvelous. His writing flows, he takes hardship and danger placidly, and his descriptions are wonderful. The photos and maps make you feel as if you are there with him, knowing his porters, the village people and friends. This is a great book to add to your collection of favorites.

Unavoidable book for Tsangpo lovers
If you're a traveller of "the paths less travelled" , you will enjoy it by heart. Amazing book with wonderful quality paper and printing of both text and photos. More botanical terminologies may make us tired, but it is the beauty of this book. I just completed twenty pages , it is an amazing book. I Will write more after completing it.
