New Unit Impeller Vibration/Rattling
The media could not be loaded. Update: Changed from 1 start to 5 star; I'm concluding the first unit I received was a manufacturing defect. The replacement unit has had zero issue in regard to vibration and noise and is an excellent product. When this sous vide circulator operates properly, it performs great. The interface includes lots of built-in recipes that consider factors like whether the food is frozen or fresh, its thickness, and desired doneness. The touch screen allows for quick manual temperature adjustments. The unit's power enables it to recover the target temperature quickly, even when a large quantity of food lowers the water temperature. When functioning correctly, it is also very quiet. However, after initial use, the unit developed an issue with the impeller. There was increased play between the impeller axle and the small black plastic bushing that keeps it in place. This caused a loud rattling noise as the impeller wobbled at low speeds (refer to uploaded video), and less rattling/noise and high speed (but no longer quiet). While the design makes it easy to remove and clean the impeller, this issue with the axle and bushing connection is a significant drawback. If resolved, I will provide an update.

OUTSTANDING
This really does change everything. I was a chef(15yrs) in an upscale dining district that served sports stars & visiting celebrities. I WISH this would have been available. Easy to use. Flawless functionality. Cooks while you prep other meal ingredients. Opens up a universe of cuisine combinations that would make chef Ramsey proud. 14 ribeyes☆Perfect. 10 filets☆Perfect. 8 ~2in chicken breasts☆PERFECT. Flame sear, charcoal sear, reverse sear , pan sear to finish...brilliant. This will make you legendary at all the patio gatherings. 👌💯👌

Best Sous vide out there
My husband is a professional chef and loves to Sous vide. We got our first Sous vide for home use 6 or 7 years ago and it was a self contained bulky unit. In that time we had to replace it twice because the bath could not connect with the heat unit to maintain a temp. When that unit went out we knew we wanted to upgrade to something you would see in a professional kitchen. I did a lot of research and ended up here. Most of our countertop appliances are Breville so it was not a huge leap but we had never used a Sous vide wand. This is a substantial unit and comes with a fantastic storage tote. It heats fast and maintains the temp flawlessly. It has a timer feature which is fantastic, if you remember to start the timer. We even move to a large Sous vide water bath because this can handle circulate water so well.We use this almost everyday and are astonished at the power and Bailey for such a small device. A must have for any kitchen.

Not sure about automatic cooking modes
The media could not be loaded. I really like the concept behind it, and read a bunch of online reviews, but it did definitely ruin not just one, but two batches of eggs for me immediately.First batch: 2 eggs, automatic mode for eggs (fast). Eggs came out completely runny and the albumen was barely set.Second batch: 15 eggs, automatic slow mode for eggs with “water bath.” Cook time was one hour at 167-degrees. Left in water for another half hour for good measure, then ice water bath in the fridge until the next day. Yolks were somehow both barely set AND starting to turn sulfurous green around the edges and the whites were too soft to use in anything (not hard enough to chop for a salad or use for deviled eggs).I ran both experiments with an EVERIE container setup with neoprene wrap and silicone lid.The circulation is great, it came to temp pretty quickly, and the temperatures (measured with a Thermapen) were spot-on. But the cooking menu might just not be where this device excels. I will probably start using manual mode instead. So, one star off and I’ll continue to experiment. Note that it is MUCH bigger in circumference than the Anova and the other Breville, so a silicone lid on your container is almost a must in order to have it clip in properly. I do love the giant clip - very sturdy. Still recommend but perhaps experiment with cheaper items first to see if it works for you. I assumed it would work perfectly for how expensive it was and was a bit annoyed with my first two cooks.

Great piece of equipment
Great product, powerful enough to work in a professional environment. We use in varying size tubs all the way up to full size lexons 24inches deep. This 28oz porterhouse were cooked in the circulator and then reverse seared.Pre sets are nice for things you do regularly, makes it very quick and easy.Overall I highly recommend this unit!
