Great knife. Takes a bit to get used to. My only complaint is that I'm left handed. I wish the pouch would come in left handed

I was very excited for this knife as I received it as a gift so the price point didn't hurt as much. That being said the chisel like bevel makes for keeping straight consistent cuts difficult, understandably so but the handleability of this knife is not very forgiving, and most importantly while breaking down a chicken carcass for stock the edge of the blade deformed and was dented in. If it had chipped or been from beef or pork bones it would be one thing but to deform from working on poultry is ridiculous if you are going to be paying this much for a knife. It is beautiful and seems to be made by a reputable craftsman(With a wonderful marketing team apparently) but is nothing more than a novelty or a show piece in terms of practicality. If you want a knife for actual work look elsewhere as this knife is only pretty on the outside.

bought this knife directly from the almazon site - i have butter knives sharper than this and it doesn't help to sharpen it - that was about a month ago - i have written to the company and they send me the same response - "we take this matter seriously and are giving it the highest priority"- i didn't even ask for a refund, i just wanted them to stand behind their product and ship me a new knife so i can return the defect one - my patience is over - i called my bank and they have opened an inquiry to refund my money - the only reason i gave it ones star is because of the look and the weight - worst customer service ever -

To my knowledge you can only get the REAL Almazan knife directly thru their site ONLY. The people complaining about their purchase on here didnt wanna spend top dollar for the real knife which can be up to $250. You knew better and knew how to insure your received the real deal. U pay for what you paid for.
