My skin loves this soap good quality

This smells of nothing at all or very vaguely of 'non scented' soap.I like the look of it. If you are expecting a black bar of soap as I did, you will be suprised as this isnt black at all, its a sort of coconut brown.It looks like something you would find in posh bathrooms.It feels very sticky and you can scrape a bit off with your fingernail really easily and then push it back onto the bar and smooth it back in.It does bubble when using it and makes a sort of creamy lather when working it in to your hands and face . It leaves my skin feeling smooth and clean.The bar is a little bit big as it is a square and not an oblong. It would be an easy job to cut it in half for easier handling.I have put it in a non vented soap dish and it does firm up in the air between uses.You probably wont want to use this in a soap mitt as it wouldnt get the chance to harden at all and would disintegrate.The advice on the packet is to spot test in case of allergy and following that advice, we have not had any problems using it.Made of shea butter, coconut and 'plants'.It is Vegan and cruelty free.Its antibacterial and useful for those with acne problems.If you are having skin reactions to more chemical based soaps, it is worth a try to see if this would be better.It doesnt say so but given the very short ingredients list, it is unlikely to contain Lanolins which I know some people do have a reaction to.

Great product it has helped to clear up my daughter’s spots much better than cheaper alternatives on Amazon would definitely recommend.

I had a huge of African black soap that I cut into soap sized pieces. I really liked the way is felt on my skin and was sorry to see it was nearly finished.I spotted this on vine and grabbed it . This one comes nicely wrapped in brown paper and is standard soap size - 90 g so fits neatly on most soap trays.African black soap is made with 100% natural ingredients so is vegan friendly, organic and cruelty-free.It is great for all ages from babies through to the elderly as it is great for sensitive skins and eczema.It is full of great natural oils and butters - cocoa pods, shea butter and coconut oil.It doesn't smell of anything scented but does smell natural and kind of nutty.

This soap is interestingly presented as the makers don't seem to recognize that a bar of African soap needs to 'set' by leaving it to dry till hard. Or maybe they are in a rush to sell it!It's not very usable in it's present firm as it provides little resistance yo touch yet conversely does not readily dissolve.As I'm reviewing the product as sold and there are no instructions to unwrap it and leave to dry (not that that would help I really think this step is not the consumers problem it should be ready to use), then I can not give it more than a rating of 2.The soap doesn't smell of much and what it smells of isn't very nice.The label says it's got vitamins and minerals. Erm this isn't to be eaten..It also says the ingredients are vegan. Ok so no animal fat that's good. But no reference about the oil used whether it's sustainable or under a certain recognized organization to ensure no rainforest was chopped down to grow the palm oil etc. And it's got a British flag on it but if it's African soap I'd prefer to see a reference to Africa and free trade etc given we don't grow civia here in the UK and it's made from cocoa pod ash.I'm a coworker of a Ghanian and she makes soap and the soap I got from her smells better, is firm and lathers better then this does.I'm letting a bit of the soap under review dry and I'll update you if things miraculously improve with it lather wise and usability wise.

The bar is quite small and when the wrapping is taken off, it's pretty soft and pliable, so different from ordinary soaps right away. There's no particular smell and the colour is an unappealing brown, certainly not black.In use, it lathers up quite nicely and seems perfectly normal, which is a good thing. I can't swear to its effectiveness in clearing spots or whatever from your skin, as that's not why I got it, but others say it's good for that. For me, it's very average, without a pleasant scent, and is small for the price, so not a repeat buy. However, if you have skin issues, then I imagine this is worth a try, as you may find it quite effective.

More brown than black :)Is the first time I am trying the African Black soap.I did expected to receive a black strong solid soap bar ,instead this is brown colour and not as solid.In fact is less solid than any store soap bars.The appearance of it is not so appealing to be honest ,but knowing that is vegan and no animal fat used it calms me down and makes me wanna use it.I love the fact that it feels raw ,maybe not as natural but comparing to others it feels differently in a good way.The scent is something I can not stop smelling it ,is an old addiction of mine,there is a specific smell in this soap that makes me wanna smell it continuously.Now I have used the soap for more than a week ,once before bed time.I am using it along with a facial cleaning brush.I have some sun brown spots on my face from last summer and I think they have started to fade since using it .It does create foam but not as much as normal soaps.Leaves a brownish colour trade when using it on the sink .Overall ,I am pleased to try this soap ,will keep using it till it finish and if I indeed like the results will order again.

Mild soap works well for facial soap. Great find
