I purchased this to go in the moho for the next time we're stuck in a muddy field, but as a spade its really not that useful. The handle is too short for any real digging and its more like a large potting spade, so I got a real shovel for the job. If on the other hand you want this as a sabre to weight into battle with, its a perfect choice.

What a load of rubbish. No magnesium rod was just plastic. Whistle is plastic. Plastic knife connector. Feels like it would fall apart on the first outing. And it was not the cheapest one either but feel as they sent me the cheapest. Not best impressed to be fair.

I am very disappointed. Everything else is ok but the magnesium rod advertised ( and which I really wanted) is missing.Can the supplier please send one to me. It is too expensive to return this purchase from Ireland and I am really frustrated by this.
