Excellent quality books - Highly recommended
These are excellent quality books. The paper is high quality, white and the binding is very strong. The font is comfortably large without being overly so. The format places the English opposite the Russian nearly exactly. It means searching for a phrase or word that you didn't understand most often means simply following the line on to the opposing page. There are a couple of comments concerning the English translation, that it is somewhat antiquated. I find it more than adequate to answer the questions I have about the meaning of the Russian. That seems to me to be the purpose of a dual language book, read in Russian and when you don't understand something you can see the translation. I imagine that the translation was chosen due to copyright issues. I highly recommend this series (Crime and Punishment has a slightly smaller font). Somebody has spent a great deal of time to create a quality product. I think I am going to collect them all.

They got everything right.
I like to be comfortable when I read. The purpose of a dual-language book is to reduce the time you spend in dictionaries so that you can read with your feet up. The people who put this together kept the print big so that you don't have to strain to read. It's especially tempting in a dual-language edition to make the print small because you're cramming two books into one. These people didn't do that, and I applaud them for it. 5 stars.

A must
Beautiful. Fast shipping. Much thicker and heavier than I expected. Accurate. Can't wait to finish. Bought both part 1 and 2. A collectors must.

It's like hearing about Michael Jordan
I haven't gotten very far, but Anna Karenina is everything you've heard. It's like hearing about Michael Jordan, and then seeing him play. You know when you see it.

Splendid Dual Language book
Not only is the physical 'book' a thing of beauty, the lay-out of the matched 'dual language' pages is impossibly helpful in understanding Tolstoy's prose. The Russian language he wrote in is not the language of modern speech and thus, the poetic complexities would perhaps go right over my head, if it were not for the wonderful translation, spaced to match on the facing page.

Awesome book! The original text and the translation are well-aligned, which makes it easy to follow both.
