ARIATWomen's Darlin Western Boot

Absolutely amazing!
If you read nothing else in this review, read this: as with most cowboy/western boots, please size up 1 full size if you want an out-of-the-box perfect fit (with socks). Yes, these are real leather, so they will eventually stretch and form to your foot a bit. I only went up a half size and have to wear thin dress socks with them until they stretch out.Now on to the lengthier review:My grandmother always told me "it's better to spend more money and buy a quality product once, than to spend less and buy a cheaper product many times over." Her wisdom directly applies to shoes, and especially these boots. I've purchased many a pair of cheap knockoff, man-made, faux leather boots. It's never done me any favors. They're uncomfortable, they never form to your foot, and they fall apart way too quickly.I finally bit the bullet and paid the ~$100 for these name brand, real leather, high quality boots. And let me tell you, the second I put them on, I actually teared up! They're quite literally the most comfortable things I've ever worn. I have problematic feet, but I feel like I could walk the world in these boots. I have extremely large calves, but they actually fit them perfectly! They hug my feet and support my arches perfectly, they're unbelievably flattering, and they will last me for years and years to come.If you're considering buying these boots, please, do yourself a favor, don't hesitate!!! Even though the price has gone up, they are still worth every penny. Your feet will thank you!

Not color as pictured
So so so disappointed. These were not red as in the picture they are more burgundy. Really wanted the red as was shown and as I had seen in person. If I knew what color was coming I would have just ordered blah brown. Please either revise your photos or put a disclaimer that color is not true

Fit is Snug
They are beautiful boots, appear to be very well made. Very nice leather, and the stitching of the sole onto the boot will provide long wear. Noting other reviews, I did not go up a size from my regular size 8, but did order the wider size, an 8C. Even with the wide size, they STILL fit snug. I cannot imagine how the medium (B) size would have fit, it would have been impossible. Arait needs to figure this sizing issue out! I think the American woman's foot is NOT getting narrower! I am glad I did not order the 8.5, as the length of the boot was fine, adequate space in front, and a larger size would have just made it longer which is not needed. Pay attention, this boot even in a wide, will fit noticeably tight! I have never had this problem with any other boot purchase (this is my first and sadly, because of the sizing issue, last pair of Ariats) or any other shoe purchase.

Size up!
I have been a long time wearer of Ariat boots. I find them very comfortable and consistent. This style was a bit more tricky. Reviews said they ran short, some said narrow. Here's my thoughts, if you know your Ariat size I recommend go up one full size. I normally wear an 8.5 in Ariat and I ordered a 9 based on reviews. They were very uncomfortable, felt narrow. I almost gave up but the boots are so adorable I decided to try one more size. I ordered a 9 and 1/2 and Voila! They are awesome and comfortable and and beautiful! I don't really think the boots are particularly narrow but they are short and if too much of your foot is up towards the pointy part it won't be comfortable. I wear a 9 in almost every other shoe and boot but in this Ariat style 9.5 is perfect!

Very fine craftsmanship & detailing
These are REALLY sharp looking boots - up close! Very fine craftsmanship & detailing. I ordered my regular size 8.5 in black, and the 'Almond' toe seemed a bit snug - but otherwise the boots fit perfectly - cradles the foot beautifully, so your foot does not slide forward. I will be standing performing in concerts for hours at a time, so that's very important! GOOD foot / arch & heel support right out of the box. I then ordered a size 9 to size up as others recommended. Fit was too loose all over and the up-size didn't hold my foot in place. So...it may be back to size 8.5. I have another couple pairs of Ariat boots w/almond shaped toe box that are less pinched. The Darlin is a very well designed boot although the toe box could be widened out a tiny bit to fit most of us ladies - and then they would be awesome - perfect!!!

Cute, true to size
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Very cute boots. They fit me perfect, I normally use 6.5 and they fit perfect with or without socks. Very comfortable to wear all day.

Cute boots, stiff leather, very supportive
These shoes are super cute, first of all. I got the red pair. As for the discrepancy in shades, they are the darker red colored picture, not the bright red, which is still gorgeous.Comfort: these shoes run quite narrow. I had to order up in size to get a comfortable fit. I’m almost always a 7.5 and I had to order another pair in an 8 and that was much better. Even so, these shoes took a lot of breaking in. I ride 2-4 times a week, sometimes more AND I ware these shoes in between to try to break them in faster - the leather is STILL pretty stiff after a few weeks. However, the arch support is great. I have flat feet and my arches feel really supported and because of that my feet feel comfortable all day in these. But the tightness of the leather makes my feet sore. I believe once these are broken in they will be very comfortable shoes. Also, I feel like it’s worth noting that my foot got stepped on by a horse in these already and it barely left a mark (also my foot was fine but I don’t think that was the boots offering a ton of protection - they aren’t steel-toed).All-in-all these are great boots, the only reason I gave them 4 stars is because they are taking longer than any shoe I’ve ever had to break in. But they are a pretty tough leather so maybe that’s to be expected? I’ll update once they soften up.

Extremely comfortable and beautiful!
Even though many of the reviews said these boots run small and narrow, I typically wear a 7M and that is the size I ordered. They are a perfect fit and really comfortable and beautiful. I never wear thick socks with my nicer boots. The heel was closer to 2 inches than the 2 1/2 inches stated. I took them to a reputable shoe shop and they extended the heel about 3/4 inch and it turned out great and didn't cost very much. I am very happy with my Ariat boots.

Comfy, high quality
These boots are so comfy. No need to break them in. My forth pair of Ariats. I did order 1/2 size larger than my shoe size, which was good advice from the reviews. Beautiful quality. Very happy with them.

Good product
Took awhile to break in, but love them! B width could be a tad wider. But with time leather should relax making boots more comfortable.

Most comfortable boots I own
Love the fit these boots feel like I’ve worn them for years. I love that they are casual enough for everyday and I can also dress them up a bit
