Great value and came in a pinch!
I was very skeptical of ordering lights of Amazon after seeing so many bad reviews about knock offs and strings that don't even light. These not only arrived on schedule during the busiest time of year, they are great quality and the perfect length for outdoor and indoor projects. One spool was enough to do our 9' balcony across the front. We'll see how long these last but we may even leave these up til summer!

EXCESSIVE use of plastic container for this item -- seems entirely unnecessary.
The lights work fine, with good brightness, durability, etc. Amount of plastic used for the reel that holds the lights is EXCESSIVE!!

Half of lights do not work!!!
I purchased 10+ sets of these Philips lights thinking that these name brand lights would be better. Wrong. Half of the sets have lights that don't work straight out of the box. It's not a fuse or bulb problem. It seems like the wiring is done really poorly on these lights.

Good product overall
I needed to replace my lights on my tree this year. I decided to buy this as my old lights were the same brand and type. The lights matched perfectly! The only reason this is getting 4 stars is because I had about 4-5 light bulbs that needed to be replaced, which was a little disappointing since this was the first time I used these lights.

Bulbs not as pictured
Item is not as pictured. The photos show that the bulbs on this string of lights have the tab that folds over onto the spur of the bulb receptacle to secure it in place. This is what I thought I would receive to match my other Philips lights and make for uniform bulb replacements. However, I received a roll of lights that are the straight insertion type which are held in by friction only (search for this product number to see what type of bulbs are used on this 250 light string - B09QFS7P1F). Had to return these as the bulbs types are not interchangeable.
